September

Solace LOVED flag football. You can tell his skills improved every practice. There are several video clips of his improvement.

This cutie loves going for walks, but when the kids stay at home, he wants to get back home as soon as possible. I set his leash down to get the mail, and he decided to walk himself home. Swishy... we love you!

Paul went on a hike to the top of Mount Timpanogos and saw wild mountain goats up there. Since he somehow had cell reception, he FaceTimed us from up there and we watched the goats climbing up and down the steep cliffs. It was so fun!

Our friends from Dominica, the Jevne's who now live in central Wisconsin, came to Utah for a visit and we had to reconnect. The kids haven't seen each other since they were babies. Re reenacted the picture of Matix screaming when Benjamin took his ball. So funny. Dominican friends are always lifetime friends. We can always reconnect right away.

Picking weeds is a tough chore here. We have a pretty big yard, and the weeds grow FAST. Look at the root on this dandelion!

Sunday dinner with Grandma Berg, as usual. We love this tradition. Then snuggles on the couch watching home movies, or The Chosen series. Yes please.

Solace got a belated birthday card and gift from Grandma Stacy and Papa Lee and was SO excited.

Great Grandma Berg turned 83 and we got to celebrate with her. We got her favorite cake and some balloons, and lots of love notes.

Della invited Lullaby and me to go to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP) meeting and Lullaby got to read the Pledge of Allegiance. She was so excited to be included. And I outed Della for having a birthday the day before, so they sang to her too. She blushed.

Paul and Matix sometimes help out with flag football practice and run drills, which Solace loves. Here are two clips of practices.

The games days were especially exciting for Solace. He made at least one touch down in every game. We cheered like crazy for him.

Sometimes for Sunday dinner, Ryan and Megan and baby Cora get to come too. The more the merrier.

I found some Kringle from my hometown in Utah again, always makes me laugh.

Yummy looking dinner that was a complete flop. It was a pumpkin bisque that got a lot of good reviews, but none of us liked it at all. Ha haha.

A little boy in the town next to ours was diagnosed with a fatal diagnosis, and his family put out a plea to the community to hold a parade for him. He loved Nightmare Before Christmas, so we dressed up in what we had already bought for Halloween that year, and joined the parade. It was a beautiful thing to see so many people come together to do a nice thing for a stranger. The little boy was all smiles as we drove past him and his family, and sadly, only a few days later, he passed away. I'm glad we spent our evening doing this parade.

Another football game for Sully boy after they had group pictures taken. He loves his coach and his teammates.

The sun was catching Hawk's eyes just perfectly to get that little sun spot, so cute. And you can see a glimpse of a dimple in the first picture. :)

Loving the perfect evening weather at all the football games.

Park time with the kiddies. They have so much fun together.

Paul working from home has been so dreamy. We love all the extra time we get with him now!

My dad always sent candy or caramel apples for the kids each September or October, and we've decided to keep up the tradition.

Hawken decided he wanted to build a loft with Paul and they got right to work. So fun.  Hawk sketched out the whole thing and planned for all of it.

Our church ward had a date night that was "cruise themed" and so much fun. I signed up to bring a dessert, and made these little cruise-ish cookies. I like how they turned out.

Sunday dinner with Grandma. This time Lexi and Caleb were there for a bit too and got to play games.

And always cuddles with Grandma.

Part of our bedtime routine is that I sing a song or two, and Paul helps the kids say their prayers. He's such a good daddy. I'm so glad he's ours. It's such a peaceful way to end our day.

Matix and Hawken love being in the Young Men group in our church. They learn all kinds of cool things. This particular week was a skills course for kayaking.

Proud Dad of this boy who scored 3 touchdowns in one game. Woohoo!

I love seeing pictures of all the things you are doing. My favorites in this post are Swishy walking home to be with the kids, and FOOTBALL! Solace is so talented at everything he undertakes.
