Everyday happenings... These kids LOVE their pool time. Sully is turning into a little fish just like the others. 

Wailua River

We went paddling up the river with Andy and Amy. It was so much fun. It's such a lovely island. 

Headstands on paddle boards are crazy hard to do. They wobble back and forth and make it nearly impossible to hold for very long.

soccer

In August, the kids started soccer! Lullaby was the first to have practice. It was REALLY cute. She spent most of her time biting her nails, posing for the camera, or chatting with her friends. Not much has changed although she will now sporadically attempt to kick the ball. She loves it, mostly the friends, and has fun each practice. 

farmer's market

The local farmer's market here in our town every Wednesday is so wonderful.  We love buying local and of course none of the sellers can resist these cute faces, so the kids get all kinds of freebies and samples. Once I even found fruits we only ever saw in the Caribbean. Yes please!  

Tunnels Beach

We went up to Tunnels Beach with our friends and it was a PERFECT day. So beautiful. We first played near where the river ran into the sea. The kids built a dam and swam in the makeshift pool.

Then we headed to the water with our friends for boogie boarding and snorkeling. The water was a lovely clear blue, with very small waves.

Lullaby and Jonny went out snorkeling alone, it was super cute. The snorkeling is amazing here. It's called Tunnels Beach because of the coral and rock formations. There are naturally formed tunnels and tons of fish. It's so wonderful!

the cave!

The kids had to go exploring this cave near a  beach we were headed to. I mean, if you're a kid and you see a cave, you HAVE to explore it, right?

Matix found a crystal (which I'm fairly sure isn't a crystal, and was probably left by someone else, but exciting, none the less).

The cave went back pretty far, and had some small "rooms", but stopped eventually. It was more of a large rock overhang. I love these darling babies of mine. I know I am biased, but they are beautiful.

dragon fruit

Dragon fuit is one of my favorite things to eat now. And, I'm finding out there are different kinds. This one, although they look the same on the outside, has a white inside. Weird! So so good tasting. 

rearranging...

Our tiny house doesn't give us many options for our things. Our living room is also our dining room, and they are connected to our lanai which we use as another living area.  In the first few weeks of living here I rearranged this room a million times. We had it like this for a while, with the TV in that little nook, the couch facing it, and the table directly behind the couch. 

Now we have it switched and the table is where those boxes were in the first picture, the TV is where one end of the table was and the couch is facing the TV sort of where that tall backed chair is in the second picture... It's fun switching things around. But I wish I found THE place already...
