magnet blocks

Grandma Stacy and Aunty Jolie both sent out magnet blocks for the kids this past Christmas, and they are played with daily. So so much fun. Thank you both for these awesome blocks.

surf lesson

Ash wanted to learn how to surf, so Paul took her out to White Plains. She picked it up really fast, she's so talented.

Sully played on the beach with Ranger. He was such a good sport to be the entertainment everywhere we went.

Matix took his turn and caught some nice little waves. He's getting really good at it too.

This last wave, Matix rode all the way to the shore. Way to go!

It was such a perfect beach day, as most are here in Hawaii. We love this beach. We know the lifeguards by name. The water promises nice waves. I'm happy we live here.

Manoa Falls

We went on the quick hike to Manoa Falls. This was a sacred place, and out of respect for the native people here, you aren't supposed to play in the water. It was so beautiful.

Hiking sticks are required at all times when you're a kid. I don't remember why, but it is very important.

Nelson and Ranger were mostly on baby duty and carried or jumped him all the way up and back. Paul had to work, so it was awesome having so many adults to help my crew.

The hike is very well traveled and easy to do, but there are lots of little areas off the path for exploring and adventuring.

Sully and Lullaby wanted to live here, in the tree.

It was REALLY crowded, probably the most crowded hike I've been on here on Oahu. The falls were gorgeous though, and it was nice knowing a bit of history about it.

Lullaby loves taking pictures with her favorite plants. This was her favorite from this hike.
Susannah and Nelson had to leave the next day, but it was lovely seeing them and playing with them. Ash and Ranger stayed for a few more days.
