Some of July

Solace's fashion choices always make me smile.

As it turns out, you CAN teach an old dog a new trick. Here is Swishy learning to play fetch. He's not great at it, but he goes after balls if we throw them now. He never brings them back though.

Paul and I got our Utah drivers licenses and went out for a quick date lunch before heading home.

Beautiful yard, and some yard work. And peep Lullaby and some new neighborhood friends chatting on the corner. Our new neighborhood is FULL of kids.

Lemonade stand with her new friends Evie and Gigi.

Paul and I ordered a massage chair, after talking about getting one for YEARS. It is SO wonderful. We use it tons, and sometimes the kids do too.

Proud Auntie moment, Hunter graduated! Hooray! Good job Hunter!

Lounging her day away, lost in a book.

We spent a day at the Mona rope swings, it was so nice! The Hunts were there, as well as Ryan (Paul's cousin) and Megan and their new baby Cora, and Paul's friend Thayne and their girls. Always a party.

Paul's sister Colleen came for a visit, and it was nice getting to reconnect with her and our niece Saras.

4th of July is Swishy's least favorite time of year. Since we had just moved here, we weren't sure how he would do if we all left during fireworks. So I turned on a white noise machine near his bed and lay my head on him, or draped my feet over him until he was sound asleep and snoring, then I went out and joined everyone else at our neighborhood fireworks. They were AMAZING. The person putting it on used to be a professional, and just collected money from those in the neighborhood and then put on this private show for us. It was the best I've ever seen. So glad we got to participate!

Dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house is always fun. We're so happy to be able to live near them.

Swishy tried to join us during meditation, he even got half way on a pouf. Silly pup.

Steph took me out shopping for some much needed furniture, and a quick stop at the soda pop shop. Yes please.

Matix and Hawken and some friends found a hot spring in the neighborhood next to ours, and played all day.

Yummy dinner, sometimes we try new things and everyone hates it, other times, we get a winner! This was a winner, but I can't remember the name to save my life.

To the park with Saras, Ethan, and Jonny boy. The rock climbing wall was our favorite.

Then to a splash pad for lunch and a little cooling off. So many things to do here.

Little brother and big sister.

Big brother and little sister.

Paul took the kids and their bikes to a pump track in Eagle Mountain and everyone had a blast, despite how crazy HOT it was.

Whiskey wanted to join our game.

Check ups and getting ready for school!

We got season passes to a waterpark on Groupon. It was SUCH a good deal. Usually not too busy either. Yes please.

Paul's voice has been slooooowly improving, and sometimes still gets tired or sore. But he still reads or sings to the kids every night. Such a good daddy.

First time going to church since March when they closed. It was weird, and we could only sit every other row, with masks, and no talking afterward, so they could clean. It all makes sense, but we would love to be able to get to know some of these people...

Another adventure to another little lake. This was more of a pond, and lots of ducks found it fun too, so I'm not sure how often we will go back there, but it was fun for the day.

Paul helped the kids build obstacle courses out of the paddle boards for them to run. It was so chaotic and wild. They all loved it.

Another dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa didn't talk much anymore, except to Grandma, but he would respond to texts, so the kids would write him little messages and show him, then they would get a big hug. So sweet.

Sully boy and Grandma. All the kids love going to Grandma and Grandpa's house, but Sully and Lullaby will cry if we can't.

A new temple is being built in our town, and it's so fun to watch it being built!

I got Paul a Jones soda, and we reminisced about when OUR picture was on one of the bottles. So fun!

These two love each other now, which is so refreshing!   They didn't care too much for each other at our old house.

Splash pad again with Saras and Jonny.

Auntie Coco bought Trolls World Tour and we got to watch it on the BIG screen. So fun! Thanks Coco!

Dinner and s'mores in the heat of the summer, why not?

Hawk was so good to play with Saras when she asked (95 million times), even when it wasn't what he wanted to play with.

Friends over for lunch, and legos, yes please.

The kids made all these funny Legos creations and asked me to make cookies out of them, so I did. It was a lot of work, but they loved the results and gobbled them right up. So fun!

Then the kids had fun with the food coloring markers and decorated a few themselves.

Here they are with the creation they built along with its cookie form.

Ikea opened, so Amy, Hannah, and Becca and I went.

I started collecting all my food coloring gels again, after a long break from cookies.

Paul and his friend Jace thought a double date of bike riding would be so fun. Before we even got there, Lindsey crashed, and she's practically a professional... So I was worried.

The scenes were beautiful, but not my thing at all.

I was a pretty poor sport about it too, since even the sign lies that this is a "beginner course".

Out with new friends, the Christensen family. They have a boat and wanted us to join them, but as soon as we got to the water, we had to turn around because there was a missing person, and no new people could go out. So we went to a park instead and ate snacks and played. It was fun.
