everyday pics

Here are some random everyday pics from our lives. Harvesting bananas is a highlight of our days at the Hunt house. Some are SO short and fat, like they were in Dominica.

These building dinosaurs are STILL a favorite toy of Solace's. He plays with them all the time.

These kids love their friends, and they play so nicely together.

Sleeping Lullaby and sleeping Malakai. Malakai is one of our friend's boys who I watch sometimes. He is the sweetest thing. He calls me mom.

St. Patrick's Day package! Thanks!

Play doh creations always need a picture before they're squashed back up.

Secret night time delivery of diapers to an unsuspecting family. The kids and Paul all wore masks.

Picking up Sully from preschool, and Malakai wanted a ride too. So sweet.

Homeschool Option's Day fun at lunch time. The kids are allowed to eat at the picnic tables or in the playground area. I love that they have the freedom to do that. They really love this program.

Amy was our leader and organizer of the Kauai group, I taught art, and Sharlene taught science. It was fun for us too! Uncle Phil and the kids sometimes brought us leis.

beach fire

Heading to the beach at night isn't very typical for us. But sometimes it feels like a beach fire and roasting marshmallows kind of a day. The Hunt family came too and so you know we had a great time. We ate our weight in treats and only got partially lost on our way back to the cars.

glass sand beach

After a failed attempt at going to Gillans... we went to Ele Ele instead. Paul thought it was just as magical as the rest of us do, and we spent lots of time sifting through the sand and glass.

Then Paul and the kids climbed the cliffs and looked for adventure on the other side of the bay.

I went up the slow way, since I was carrying the phone and keys and water... Just call me a pack mule.

Then we all walked the easy way back down to the beach, with lots of stops looking for whales and pretending to be a farmer. (Putting long grass in your mouth means you look like a farmer according to our kids, although, all the real farmers we know have never done that...)

While we relaxed on the beach two monk seals swam up and rested near us. We kept our distance, but it was lots of fun to see them lazing about on the beach, just like us.

When our lazing turned into wrestling, we moved higher up on the beach so the kids loud yells and laughing wouldn't startle them.

Then we hiked in the other direction to see the old cemetery. The headstones and monuments are very old, and windswept, but beautiful. What a peaceful place.

We went out to eat that day. I love taking these kids out to eat, because they are always grateful, and well mannered. We don't go out often, but when we do I am happy with how they act. So we reward that with all the extra treats, like this huge strawberry smoothie for one little girl...
