On an ap called Snap Chat, you can use filters to change your face. This old man one was cracking us up! I sent this pic to Jolie and pranked her by telling her his face just started looking like this, and that he had a doctor appointment on the following day. She was SO worried. :) I told her the truth later on and we both had a good laugh from it.

picnic dinner
Since the Flores' are coming with us to Hawaii (just a little while later on), I'm sure this brood will have plenty more picnic dinner like this outside. These 7 kiddies love each other so much. :)

silly boy
Early in the mornings, Sully likes to go outside in only his diaper and a shirt and "roll" down this little hill. It is the smallest little angle, but he screams and "woohoo!"s the whole time. So funny to watch.
cousin birthday
Back in March we went up to Spring for Kjerstin's first birthday. Grandma Stacy and Papa Lee were here. The kids were excited to see everyone. Matix roped Grandma into a game of Twister right away.
Kjerstin was excited about the cupcakes and couldn't get her hands on them fast enough!
Then when she finally got to hold it, she didn't know what to do with it, until Dale broke off a piece and put it into her mouth. Then she loved it. Happy birthday Kjerstin!

bike ramps
The money Paul spent on this wood, and the time he spent in building these ramps was probably the best investment (both money and time) that he has ever spent. These ramps are used almost daily. The kids, especially Matix, are obsessed with them.
toy park
The toy park in Houston is one of our favorites, and with it being so close to Matix's school, we like to go there a lot! Solace always finds something he can drive and make the car noises for…
This park also has some really nice climbing trees. Woohoo! Can't beat it!
story time
Dear Story Time,
We will miss you when we leave Houston. We will miss the free books we get, the crafts we make, the puzzles we do and the doll house we play with. Story Time, you are the best.

park friends!
We went to the Fire Truck Park after school one day and ran into some friends who were just there by chance. Between the 3 adults, and the 7 kids, we pretty ugh took over the whole park.
Hawken ran around with the camera for a while and got some fun pictures!
Plus we took some video clips of people getting way too dizzy on the spinning toy. We have so much fun together. :) Maybe borderline too much fun...

dates
We spend time with the big and little kids alone sometimes. It's hard for them to vie for attention with 4 kids in the family. Paul took the big boys on a daddy date to the skate park. They LOVED it. They all came home sweaty and covered in dirt.
Meanwhile, at home, the little kids and I had a tea party instead of lunch. We had to eat course by course, because the two plates were so tiny. :)
Then we finished the mommy date with a bubble bath. It was a fun day for all the kids, and they all got all the love and attention they needed.

school work
I love all the things Hawk comes home with from kindergarten, some are very Texan
Other papers are like this to help explain the rules of the English language, like "Super E"! He makes the other letters say their own names in words… :) So clever.
family time
Paul did a few Boy Scout physicals for Dale's scouts up in Spring, which gave us an excuse to go for a quick visit!
We babysat for a while so Dale and Vanessa could go out. The kiddies love playing together. Cousin time can be so fun! Bedtime wasn't very fun for us at all though. I had 7 out of 8 kids upstairs and tried my best to keep them in their beds so they could fall asleep, but it took a LONG time, with lots of timeouts and scoldings…
By the morning, everyone was happy and good again. The kids (and I) played a million rounds of Twister.
Dale and Vanessa took us out for lunch as a thank you/payment for Paul helping Dale get all the scouts physicals done. You have to eat Texas barbecue… It so so good. These little cowgirls both wore their boots to the restaurant, which warrented a few pics.
Then Sully and Duncan needed a picture too. I love that Sully is wearing 2 different rain boots…
Proof that the sleepover was fun for the kids… They ALL fell asleep within a few minutes of getting into the car to go back home. Thanks for the fun time guys!
school pics
Hawken got his "spring pictures" taken at school, and since I already loved and bought his fall pictures, it was just a fun day for him to wear play clothes instead of his uniform clothes. When he came downstairs in this ensemble, I was happy that he usually has to wear a uniform… :) He also attempted to "do his hair" that morning, and by the time it was picture time… this is how he looked. I didn't buy any, but I did get a good chuckle out of them. Hawk, you're such a cute kid.
