Matix was invited to yet another party! He was so happy to celebrate with Gina, as were the rest of our family. Thanks for the fun day! Happy birthday Gina!

Helicopter Drop!
We went with our friends to their church's Easter Egg Drop. It was done via helicopter and the kids were amazed! Plus there were TONS of freebies and bounce houses and food and activities for the kids. Such a family friendly church. Lullaby wanted a "tall braid, like a rainbow over the top" for the event… It looked cuter in person.
Here comes the helicopter! They took a few laps around the crowd before dropping the (literally) thousands of eggs into the field. The eggs were held together with a sticker so very few of the eggs broke open despite the drop.
Hawken and Grayson showing off their loot! These kids got SO much candy this Easter season!
Eating the goods… The best part!
Bounce houses and other fun things! The velcro wall was the best ever!
Matix found a beetle… He's such a bug boy!
We sure love the friends we have made here. These other Bergs are the best. We love them.

best daddy
This rotation that Paul has makes it so he can ride his bike, and he leaves around the same time that we do to bring Matix to school. If we leave first, the kids know to watch out their window for Paul to pass us up, which he always does. There is just enough traffic that it takes Paul less time than us to get there. Seeing him and giving him high-fives through the window is SO fun for the kids. They love their daddy.

Hawk and Sully
These two like to snuggle/wrestle in the mornings and after naps. If Solace gets up first, he checks in Hawken's bed before going anywhere else. If Hawken is up first he will ask to get Solace up, although I still have to be the one to lift him out of the crib.
I love watching them together. They are so sweet. And, despite the almost 4 year age gap, they are as close as can be.
girls vs boys
Late one night after our kids were asleep, we had 4 little visitors come over. Three of them are girls, and my oh my is there a huge difference between girls and boys. The talking and questioning and more talking was baffling, and the high energy running around was only one little guy. So the house was still clean when they got picked up, but I was mentally exhausted and drained. Very different to how I usually feel at the end of my day. My house is a wreck, and I'm physically tired, but mentally just fine. :)

Children's Museum
The weather has been weird here, and we go from hot, water park days to cold rainy days… On a nice hot day at the Children's Museum, we spent the whole time outside in their nature area and water area. It was so nice. Matix and Lullaby were especially busy, so pictures of them. Here is Solace hoarding balls… Typical.
Hawken was showing me his "powers", he's very into magic.
Then Hawken put on a riveting puppet show for us. Solace was in hysterics. I love this place.
Matix's friend
This is Matix's friend Zane, he's a BIG kid. The kids at Matix's school are so nice. Where else are 5th graders friends with kindergarteners? Zane walks to school from his house each morning and waits for Matix to walk with him. It's such a cute friendship. Matix feels so special when Zane pays any attention to him, and most days he lets Matix bounce his basketball all the way into school.

Paul's boomerang
When Paul meets us at the Children's Museum, the kids always have more fun than if it was just me. Who knew I would grow up to be the boring parent...
friend birthday
Our friends had a birthday party for their baby, Atticus. It was a spring picnic and egg hunt themed party. Perfect for a spring baby! Matix and Hawken were both busy running around, so the only pictures I have of them are these two, Hawken in the first pic on the trampoline, and Matix in the second with his back to me.
We played in the yard for a while and ate our picnic lunch. Solace hoarded this car and/or a ball the whole time we were there.
On our way to the hunt! They live in front of a good sized forest. It was a perfect location for the kiddies. Keisha and I hid the little kids' eggs just scattered in the grass before the woods, but the big kids had to hunt IN the forest. So fun.
This is Lullaby with her friend Beckam running toward the eggs. So cute.
Checking out their loot. Solace totally gets the egg hunt thing now and gets very excited to see what's inside.
And the reason this was all possible, sweet baby Atticus! Happy birthday Attie!
egg hunt playdate
I still have lots of Easter celebrations to catch up on from the beginning of the month! One was a play date and egg hunt at the Ortiz's house. The kids loved the Easter-y food.
Egg dying! My kids were the most interested in this activity. They did all the extra eggs for everyone else after the other kids pooped out, or got busy with something else.
We played outside for a bit too, then all the kids went inside while a few of the moms went out to hide all the eggs. We used the yards of the neighbors too, and there were plenty of eggs for all the kids.
This is probably the only one I have of Hawken, he was FAST. I stayed with Solace and Lullaby.
They got lots of plastic eggs but also a few cascarones (confetti eggs). We made our own cascarones when I was a little kid. I remember tapping a tiny hole in each egg and trying to blow the yolk out. It's harder than you would think. The kids loved smashing them and seeing the bright colors. Turns out that now they sell them for $1 per dozen in the grocery store. How convenient!
Then we spent a little while sitting, counting and eating candy. Here's Lullaby with Lilly and Caroline. We were at Caroline's house. My kids are spoiled.
