Memorial Day part 2

Memorial day after naps was at the Nelson's house. Quite a few other families were there, which only added to the fun. And of course, we invited Phil and Lex, who came with us too.  The Nelson's had all the food you could imagine and even a list of suggestions for what to add.  I tried "The Hawaiian" burger and it was VERY good. I would never have thought to add the things I did without the menu. Very clever. Everyone had fun choosing what to make.

Lincoln, the world's happiest boy baby (Lullaby is the happiest girl)...

Lincoln has the biggest toy collection of any one year old you will ever meet, and our kids were THRILLED.

They had a ton of water toys set up outside, and picnic blankets, and a table full of more food. It was such a nice day.
While I was upstairs nursing Lullaby, a water fight broke out and I missed it entirely. Everyone came in laughing and soaked. Kids and adults. Wish I caught it on film.  Matix met Jack, his favorite BIG kid. Jack was so sweet to play with Matix.  Not one picture of Lullaby or me, but I swear we were there. :) We had such a fun time chatting and hanging out with good friends, good food and perfect weather.  It was a very nice and fun filled Memorial Day.

kick ball

On Memorial day we had a few different adventures. First we went up to Marietta so Paul could reunite with his elementary school friend Ryan Inns.  It was a long time coming and I felt like I knew him and his wife already since we had been trying to get together since we got here to Georgia. It was fun to finally meet them and Paul and Ryan had LOTS to catch up on. :)

They had invited a bunch of their friends to play kickball.  It was too much fun. The kids decided to have it be kids vs adults.  Here they are lined up. Matix was so excited to be in the mix.

Lullaby watched from the sidelines and dug in the dirt. She is a good baby no matter where we bring her, or how potentially boring it could be for her.

The game was fun and I think everyone had a good time. Matix got hurt a few minutes into the game because he was running the wrong way and crashed with another kid, poor guy. It was totally our fault for not explaining it to him.  He got over it though and had fun anyway.

I have never seen myself running before... and I am not a runner... So this picture makes me laugh.  I think I look so silly.  What am I doing? I am wearing a light green shirt running to first base, with my back leg completely straight... Hmmm...

What a fun day... even these little ones had a blast.

There was a fun playground right next to the field and Lex and the boys had a great time there too. I was impressed that both the boys could climb the huge rock wall. Cars in hand.

Right before we left someone came with tons of bread and treats from Panera Breads... one of my favorites.  Everyone enjoyed them. Yum.

The End...
