temple

Matix had his first temple day and loved it. It was very peaceful inside and he took it very seriously. I love this angel baby of mine.

random pics

Snuggle kitty before her surgery to get fixed. We were worried she might not be so cuddly afterward.

Paul and Lullaby went to try out our friends hot yoga studio. It was really HOT, says Paul, but Lullaby loved every second of it. She loves having time with him, whatever they do.

Post surgery, she had to wear this cone because she kept licking her wound. She wasn't happy about it at first, but was still very cuddly, thank goodness.

Hawken made Paul his lunch on one of his days off. He made the happy face of crackers on top, just for fun. Such a sweet thing.

I usually make Paul's lunch for him in the mornings, and sometimes I sneak in a note. So he sent me a pic of it at lunch time. :)

Temple babysitting, at its finest. Lots of card games, books, and scooter rides around the pavilion.

My favorite Sunday shoes, the yellow bunnies on the back make for great conversation starters!

Lullaby wanted a 5 stranded braid for church, cute thing.

This is Eva, and she thinks she's a part of our family. She sneaks into our car after church nearly every week.  She's the same age as Hawken, so they pretend to be twins. Her fake twin name is Hazel.

This is William, he's also a stow-away sometimes. We love the church friends we've made here.

One of our favorite missionaries, Elder Gunderson, finished his mission a bit early, because of coronavirus, and was sent home to be with his family.

Paul, the kids and I took a drawing class on YouTube and although all the kids quit before it was over, Paul and I finished. It was actually pretty fun.

Kua Bay

We went to Kua Bay with some friends, and oh, that water is just as blue as it is in the pictures. Gorgeous!

The kids played baby birds with Audra's snacks.

The kids dug out the cave more and played in and out of it all day long. So fun.

I love my friends. This was a very fun day at the beach.

Solace and Dax play so nicely together.  They also love to take pics together, cute things.

adventures

Paul and Erik took all the kids down to a new black sand beach that you have to walk over the lava fields to get to. So crazy. They flew kites, and dug in the sand, and splashed in the waves.  It was a long hike, and they all came home tired and hot and sunburned but they had a great time.

surprise for Laurel

In December I decided to gift Laurel a hilarious gift of a "nobilified" portrait. But I needed a serious faced picture of her looking like this, slightly to the left. I enlisted the help of her family, and they tried a few times to get it.

One of the more hilarious tries was at a baby shower when the hostess (who was in on it) asked for a serious picture, Laurel, of course, was bewildered when they asked. Ha ha ha.

But then Rachel (Laurel's sister) got this gem and I was set. So I sent in this photograph.

I picked this painting to use, so they could add her face into it. The company got backlogged from Christmas orders, so although I ordered in the beginning of Christmas, it wasn't ready and in her hands until February.

This was the finished product that they sent me to approve, is this the funniest thing?! I had it framed and mailed to her.  She is usually the queen of good gifts, but she really loved this one from me.

Here she is with it. It gave everyone a good laugh. Cheers to you Laurel. I love you.
