Paul and his bike friends made the best of the nice weather and spent lots of time in the mountains. I was the driver to the start point. These boys filled up the whole car, and the entire bike rack.
Paul, Matix and Hawk went out with some neighborhood friends in the hills near our house.
Both of our cars had cracked windshields and needed to be replaced. They came right to the house and did it FAST! The kids were so impressed.
Our cats are great mousers, but they don't always eat every part... We often find tails, or little faces... Ew. But we are thankful for the cats getting rid of so many mice. The clean up is not our favorite part.
I saw Paul riding his bike, and caught a picture on my way home.
We got to dog sit for some friends and the kids loved it as much as the dogs did. Plus, we got paid in cookies, yes please.
The biking outfit is my favorite. It's the shirt Jolie gave him for Christmas with his face all over it. So funny.
She tried out a new hairstyle and I love it!
Dinner, games, and presentations at Great Grandma Berg's house. Sundays are so lovely.
Church activities for Lullaby and Solace. They have so much fun there!
A little girl in our neighborhood is quite the entrepreneur. She loves creating things and selling them. I always buy something every time she comes by. I'm not sure what these were, but it was the best quarter I have spent.
The lavender blooming in the front made for good bouquets once the roses needed to be rotated out.
My friend Heidi turned 40, and we surprised her for a dinner out. We had a great time and stayed up super late talking.
Pool day and night with friends.
Then home for some late night Wendy's and a movie.
I transplanted some wild flowers to go with the other flowers I had growing by the apple trees in the front.
Views of Paul's office, I love it when he works in jammies. So cute.
Play date with friends, always a blast.
Snow Baby's favorite napping spot, in the bushes.
Heidi invited me and three more friends up into the mountains to her in-laws property for a girls trip. We had a great time, with lots of laughs, and a few scares.
Paul and I went to look at campers, and we ended up buying one, that day. It's so weird being adults and getting to make decisions on our own. It's a 2017 Sunseeker, and just perfect for the end of summer road trip we planned to do. So fun!
Paul and I were in the playroom with the kids while they were playing video games and he fell asleep. He can really sleep anywhere, it's amazing.
Paul shaved everything except his mustache just for one day because the kids asked him to. He's a really fun dad, and it was hard to take him seriously that day. Silly guy.
Matix is ready for a bigger dirt bike, and with the house being sold, and us moving, we sold them without replacing them right away. He misses having a dirt bike every day, but he's excited for when we get settled and get a new one, or two! Paul's cousin Kim, and her family came to buy one, so we got to spend a little time with baby Elliot too!
Solace should never be left alone while he's supposed to be cleaning his room. He is SO busy. The mess got bigger and Sully was barely recognizable after 20 minutes away.
We went camping with the Harmer family and found a HUGE field of clovers. We spent hours there, picking them, hunting for four leaf clovers and braiding crowns.
We made banana boats and roasted them in the fire, read books, and played in the hammocks.
Paul brought his new Starlink, and solar panels to try them out. They worked great and made us excited for our future road trip possibilities.
We went down to the lake and found out Shadow, the Harmer's dog, had jumped into the water chasing ducks, and would NOT come out, despite gasping for air and being really old. Eventually Paul swam in, to rescue the dog. He was really slowing down and the lake was deep, so they were glad Paul jumped in to save him. Shadow stayed on the leash until the end of the trip after that incident.
More views of the campground. They are so fun to hang out with. The kids get along great, and so do the adults. We had good food and lots of hikes.
A butterfly landed in my hair and made for this great picture that Jace took. So fun.
We ended the trip with lots of leftovers bananas (despite all the banana boats we made), hot cocoa, and a picture of just the adults. We love good friends.
When we got back from camping, Solace got some cookies from his church teachers. We have been so impressed with the people in Utah.
Time to take apart the garden! Hawken spent so much time with this. He learned a lot, and made some money. Our little farmer. He harvested the last of it, and sent bags of herbs, kale, and pepper plants to the neighbors. The last picture is him holding the stalk from the kale, it was SO long!
We sold some of the furniture, and every time we sold something, the house started look ing more and more empty! She exciting!
Sunday dinner with Grandma, this is the only picture I got, and they both look intense, but I promise we always have a good time with Great Grandma Berg.
My friend Selena took most of the plants, yay!
The cats kill a lot of mice, but sometimes they just play with them, until they are too stunned to act like mice. We found this one in the house and Lullaby rescued it.
Paul hated to get rid of the plants. He loves having the house full of them, especially in Utah because there isn't much growing outside.
We stopped for lemonade and a magic trick!
We loved this outdoor space. We weren't sure at first how much we'd use it, but we loved it.
This was my favorite reading spot in the house.
Jolie came out to help me pack, and ended up taking TONS of stuff for her downstairs apartment AirBnb. It worked out great for us both!
Bradley fell in love with Pumpkin, she really could be a therapy cat. She snuggled with Alexandr too.
We loaded up mattresses, bed frames, mirrors, benches, two couches, and lots more. Her trailer really has been so helpful!
We took a break to watch trash tv, and Pumpkin came and snuggled with her. She didn't have too bad of an allergic reaction, which was great! We tried to get her to take Pumpkin with her, and she agreed, but at the last minute, Matix had a come apart, and Pumpkin stayed.
Last night s'mores with Jolie and her family before they left.
We went to pick up our camper but it actually wasn't ready. We had to wait for a custom part, which didn't come in and get installed until September!
The very end of the month, we got everything packed and staged, ready to load. Several friends came to help, which was awesome. Some we took to a storage unit, some we took to Great Grandma Berg's house, and that was it!
The Harmers and the Hunts stayed with us the whole time and helped us unload at Great Grandma Berg's house too. They are such sweet friends. The Hunts took the kids for a sleepover, which we don't do a lot of, but it was VERY welcomed. We were exhausted and ready for bed!
When we woke up, Swishy was happily napping on the porch. I went to get the kids and they were busy making cloud dough with Amy. She is a super mom, and a great friend to me.
We stopped at the house to get the last of the things, and the cats, ready for the cleaners to come. As soon as we got back to Great Grandma Berg's house, we let the cats out into her yard. Whiskey freaked out, and ran around, jumped over the fence, crossed the street, through someone's yard, and into the gully area... It was scary. Matix and I drove near to where we last saw her, and walked around looking for her. It took a while, and she was FAR, but Matix found her and we brought her back. She was just spooked by new surroundings, and she's fine now.
The weather was perfect for lots of time spent outside with the pets. Great Grandma Berg doesn't like pets inside the house, so they've stayed outside.
Only in Utah is this a relevant license plate. It says "Oh my heck" Ha haha, so dumb.
Her hair style on Sunday, so cute. We went to our Saratoga Springs ward, and peeked in at the perfectly cleaned house, wrote our names in a hidden spot in the closet, and said goodbye.
Lots of the kids got love notes from their friends, which was so sweet.
Back to Great Grandma Berg's house to play with baby Cora and then go on a walk around Grandma's neighborhood.
Back to the house and the pets are loving life in this HUGE new backyard.
