Exploring our new island, led us to a homeschooling event at this awesome park. The homeschooling community is huge here, which is so nice for us, since we're homeschooling again this year.

Our driveway is long enough to hop out of the car at the gate and ride on the back all the way to the house, and also long enough for a bike ramp and a boy on a bike to ride up and down all day long.

Unpacking the school room was the worst. As soon as I opened one box, half of the contents were taken and spread all over the house by the kids... This room took me longer than any other room n the house.

We hung up the hammocks under the house and on one of the lanais.

Sunset looking out over our land.

Snow loves all the railings and climbing places for her.

More art projects on the table.

A looooong Target trip to get lots of much needed things for the house... Poor Sully couldn't stay awake.

Out to eat with the Missionaries, and one of them was our missionary from Kauai! It was so fun to see him in this new setting.

Paul started work right away and still helped lots with building furniture, and getting the house set up.

good byes

Our first day in church was the last day for the Dortch family. We sang goodbye to them, even though they stayed on the island for a couple more days. In fact, they came and stayed at our house the next day before their flights. It was fun to have them.

Lullaby and Lanna went right back to their best friendship after being apart for so long. They were close when we all lived on Oahu, but their family moved to the Big Island and we moved to Kauai. Now that we were all on an island together again, it was like no time had passed.

Lanna braided her hair.

Picnic under the guava tree.

Water balloons, what a mess.

Lunch on the lanai with a few extra kids.

Hollie spent most of the time packing, and organizing, while Chris slept.

Then it was time to bring them to the airport. Some of their friends (now our friends too) came over to say good bye.

Hollie bought me a toy, as a thank you for staying with us that short time. It's a new version of Polly Pocket, called Lil Secrets that she and I both love. So silly.

new house

Getting to know our new home. It is dreamier than we could have guessed. We love nearly everything about this place. The yard, being the highlight! It is so green! We have lilikoi, dragonfruit, clementines, oranges, lemons, guava, avocado, starfruit, and more. It's amazing.

Our shipping container was delivered to the house, so we unpacked from there, which was hugely helpful. Then they came in a huge truck to pull it away when we were done.

We decided to keep our dining table outside on the lanai, and the views do not disappoint. So pretty.

Lots of late night snuggles.

Power bowls for dinner lots of nights, yum!

We've never lived in a place where we had a catchment system before, so learning about that and getting our system all fixed up and working was a challenge, but we now have several thousand gallons of clean water at our disposal, yay!

We got rid of the kids' bikes in Kauai, so they each picked out a new one. They were the happiest 4 kids that day!

The kids spend a ton of time on the lanai, painting and coloring, it's such a nice added living space.

We got our first piece of mail! Our new house does not get mail, so we have a general delivery address... A new first for us. So strange.
