dinner!

My mom and Louie took us out to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Tiempo. It was SO good. Thanks for the treat!

After a while Sully was only entertained by taking selfies...

cards

Lullaby learned how to play Crazy 8's and loved playing with Grandma! So fun!  There are so many games she can play now that she knows all her letters and numbers.

Grandpa and Sully

Sully LOVES adult attention, but particularly adult BOY attention. He was fast friends with Grandpa Louie while he was here.  Louie was trying to figure out how to transform the Rescue Bots…

And trying to get Sully dressed...

Bachelor

While my mom and Louie were here they got to join us for one of the Bachelor nights. It was fun to have my mom here since she's doing the "Bach Fantasy" game with us too. You have to love the excuse to hang out with your friends, without kids, each week. :)

fun

We took the little two kiddies to the Children's Museum to show Grandpa what all the fuss was about. We only saw 1/3 of the museum that day, but I think he was impressed.
Somehow, this is the only picture I have from that day. Maybe my phone died? I don't know. But my mom and I were there too… FYI.

Blokus

Nap time can be so much fun… Proof that this game can be completed following the directions using every piece. So fun.

The beach in February

We went down to Surfside in February and although it was pretty chilly and windy, we had a nice time. We found a kite that had blown away and took turns trying to get it up in the sky.

We combed the beach looking for treasures and drew pictures in the sand with sticks.

Although it was much warmer in Texas than it was in Wisconsin when they left, the beach was chilly this day!

Matix, our water baby, decided to get in for a little while.  He was freezing for the rest of the time there, but still happy he got in.

Lullaby got a little wet, and so did Hawky, but that didn't last long.

 My favorite guy.

My sweetest little baby. He got SO dirty from the sand and snot and salt water. I love him.

sleepover

Logan and Summer got to come and spend the night while Mindy was in Canada for her sister's wedding. The kids had way too much fun and took forever to go to sleep. Signs of a successful slumber party. :)

clean

Well before we got ready to clean our house to take pictures or have it ready for prospective buyers come through with their realtors, my mom scraped all the crud out from underneath the table overhang with a knife… Something I have never done. Thanks mom.

books

Bedtime, with endless books, is the best. The kids milked all the grandma and grandpa time out of these two that they could get.

tea parties

One of Lullaby's absolutely favorite things to do, is have a tea party. We pour the water into the tiny tea cups. We eat Cheerios and pretend that they're tea cookies. Lullaby even got dressed up in a dress that used to be mine as a child that my mom brought out for her. Hawk and Sully played tea party for a while too, but Grandma and Lullaby stayed there the longest.  Thanks Grandma for "clinking" and smiling and sitting through LOTS of tea time while you were here!

visit

When Grandparents come to visit, it has come to be expected that they will bring a present in their suitcase. My mom and Louie brought all disposable gifts (art supplies) for the kids. They were a hit! Thanks!
