Anini Beach

We headed to Anini Beach with some friends, and their dog for a cloudy beach day. Anini is such a lovely beach, even with yucky weather. They kids had a great time, especially with their dog, and with the paddle boards, and of course their friends. 

After a little while Hawken yelled to me from his paddle board way out deep in the ocean, that he had lost his tooth! Such an exciting place to lose a tooth.

That night he wrote a letter to the tooth fairy. "Hi Tooth Farwrey, I hope you get my tooth"

pumpkins

We went with some of Paul's work friends to go carve pumpkins. We brought some cookies and the kids had a great time carving their pumpkins. 

I had to get a picture of the kids with their pumpkins (which were painted at a party while I was in Wisconsin), and before they all got carved.

The scooping always starts with the kids, but ends with the parents doing all the work.

The final products turned out well and the kids had fun running and playing with their friends.

kid closet

Here is the inside of most of the kid closet. It's really big. We love that it holds so much. One side holds all the books, and the other side has all the clothes.  Paul built the clothes shelves and we put all the stickers on the buckets so the kids could put away their own laundry. Pretty great!

art class

We participated in the Kauai rocks game with the kids at Option's Day and they had fun making and hiding them. Such a fun game.

Poipu

We went to the south shore, to Poipu, for some evening fun. Silhouette jumping pictures are always so silly. We love them. First is Hawken, then Amy, then me and Sully is the last one flying. 

How cute are these kids?

Sully found handfuls of hermit crabs and snails. The natural world is so full of wonder.

The big boys hiked over to the little rock island. It was slippery to get there, so they were pretty proud of themselves.

Sully played with Hannah in the little waves.

The kids stayed in the water until the sun went down and the air got cold. So happy we live here.

Waimea Canyon

We took the long drive up to see the Waimea Canyon from above. It was cold, but breathtaking! We loved it. Even the drive was beautiful.

The Hunt family joined us for some adventuring, as usual. Love this crew!
