pool day

Several days a week, but not every day, we go to the pool. It's so close and easy to walk down the hill from the house. The kids love it and it really tires them out. Hawken even sometimes naps afterward, which is as close to a miracle as it gets.

cub scouts

The scouts had a pack meeting and those are our favorite, because we can ALL go, instead of just Paul and the big boys. Sully feels REALLY strongly about wanting to be old enough to go to scouts. Poor thing. It's hard to be the youngest. I made some little campfire treats for it, and they turned out just how I wanted. Brownies on bottom, with melted lollipops for the fire. The kids loved them!

This scout troop is really exceptional, and the amount of time and effort put into everything is just amazing. I am always impressed!

The kids received awards for their good attributes. Hawken received "most trustworthy", Matix received "most helpful", and Ethan received "most kind". I think those leaders have been really paying attention, because those are exactly what I would have picked for these three. They are really good boys.

sleeping giant hike

Hiking this mountain is one of our favorite hikes on Kauai. It is so beautiful. We took the Dortch family and they liked it too. Hawken had my phone and took these pictures.

Once we got to the top, I got my phone back and took these pictures. The monkeys:

The view:

Two of my kids and one of my adopted children. The Hunt kids are pretty much mine sometimes.

Then we headed up to the tip top, the rocky cliff, and the view never disappoints.

The kids played in and around the little caves and peek throughs, it's so fun. Paul had to work though, so he missed the fun that day, and Sully was in school.

Then Amy, my kids' other mother, kept the three oldest so I could run down the mountain in order to pick up Sully from school on time. I made it in record time, and even had a chance to take some pictures of these amazing trees on the way.

library

We went to the library for their Tuesday activities and brought Lanna along with us. They built amazing Lego creations and were allowed to put them on the wall. Then they made perler bead ornaments, which took forever, but they loved it.
