waterfall hike

We took the quick hike to the waterfall near our house, and the Hunt family joined us, taking a little break from packing and cleaning.

This was a perfect place for a break.

beach day

We went to the beach with friends for the afternoon and had a great time. We knew this would be the last beach trip together with the Hunt family before they moved, so it was bittersweet. 

Rebecca and I had matching top and bottoms that day. We laughed out loud when we noticed!

why not

The buyer of the house wanted to come back in several times, with his contractor to take measurements and that meant we had to be out, and so did the pets. The particular time, we headed to the Hunt's house with our dog and cat and Sully laid down on the dog bed in the yard while we waited for the go ahead to go back home. I love that we have friends we can surprise with our whole family and dog and cat with 2 minutes notice.

canoe race

Matix had a race on the same day we had a house showing, so we took the dog and cat with us. It was pretty silly having them there, but the kids loved showing off their pets to their friends. Matix's boat won their division race, and he was really pleased with his efforts. After the races, we stayed to cheer on the older groups, the kids built drift wood forts, jumped from the bring, and we all paddled around on the paddle boards. It was a nice day.

pool party

I made these cute little shave ice cookies for a pool party with three of the homeschooling families that we knew. It was a fun excuse for a party. There are more pictures of the treats than the kids because we were all having so much fun in the water.
