mermaid pool

There is a hidden mermaid pool that we've been to only a couple of times. It's a large tide pool filled with clear warm water, with deep enough spots to jump into. It's so fun. We ventured there with our friends, the Anderson family. 

Sully is good at collecting other mothers. He called for Erin to help him, not me. Ha ha ha.

Can you see the kids at the top of this tree? It's only 15 feet tall, but super wide and covers a good chunk of the beach.

The kids played in a nearby forest.  "Tree tag" was the game they came up with.

Matix's hair looks especially long when it's wet and combed straight. It's getting close to being ready to donate.

This kitty tolerates so much love, all the time. We really lucked out with him.

My silly April Fool's Day prank went over well, except for Solace. When I served these brown e's, he was really mad. Not knowing I also made real brownies for after the prank.

Mermaid tail braid after church, it looked a little more tidy before, but we forgot to get a picture then.

Afternoon date with the hubby lead us to the farmer's market in Hilo. So fun.

cookies

Some just for fun cookies I made for the keiki. Some shooting stars, imagined up by a favorite cartoonist of mine, and tried by yours truly in frosting. So funny. 

I made some little animal cookies for a tasty lunch dessert. The kids thought they were super fun, bunnies and horses wearing flower crowns for spring.

beach day

Life at the beach is always lovely. We ran into friends and snorkeled and played and had a great day.

Well, we're all happy until it's time to go...

Then out to eat with these sweet babies.

closet shelves

Paul built some shelves for me out of 2 x 4's in the school room closet and in the tv room. First we had to pull everything out of the closets, which made for a huge mess. But thankfully Paul makes quick work and the job was finished in no time. The new shelves house lots of our homeschooling materials, and our food storage (no pics of the food). 

This is the almost finished picture. There is one more shelf above that one, and it's perfect. Thanks hubby!
