birthday date and fun at the beach

Solace chose to go to see Angry Birds 2 with Paul for his birthday as his special thing, so I dropped them off at the theater and the other kids and I went to Coconut Island to play there until Sully and Paul were done. 

They had a great time at the movies, and got popcorn and candies, of course. So fun!

Then we headed to Honoli'i for some fun with friends at the rope swings in the river.  The kids skipped rocks and got pretty good after a while.

haircuts

Hawken and Solace asked for haircuts, and as reluctant as I always am, they always look so nice afterward. Handsome boys. Hawken before:

During the cut, Solace announced, "I look like President Trump!" Ha ha ha. We all laughed because he totally did, with his whips top hair and short hair on the sides.

book nook

Paul and I did the finishing touches on the book nook one night, then set up a scavenger hunt for the kids to find their surprise. It was so fun. 

We still haven't painted the ladder or the railing, but they use this space all the time for reading or doing quiet activities. It's such a fun little place for them.

We love trying out new restaurants and shops with the kids. They are good critics. We went to try an ice cream place in Pahoa, and it did not disappoint. Yum!

We were invited to a pool party at our friends neighborhood pool. Then we had a picnic dinner. So fun.

This is Katie, she goes to our church and is my number one fan. I love her.
