random pics

Here are some random pics from February. This snuggly kitty really tires herself out sometimes!  How is this position comfortable enough to sleep in?!

We had the Anderson kids over one day, that included doing homework. These two are in the same grade, and agreed on disliking the homework they had to so. So funny. There was also lots of bike riding and some r/c car racing over jumps too, once Erik came to get the kids and showed us how to use the thing. Ha ha ha.

Matix volunteered to take Whiskey to the vet with me, and he was a trooper. Our vet is known for being SLOW.

We took Paul up to Volcano to see one of our favorite places. In a year and a half, the kids and I have been here about once a week, but Paul had never seen it. So finally in February, he got to go and see it for himself. No one was skating, so the kids got to ride their bikes around the skate park.

Then we took Paul into the magical forest there to show him all the forts. So fun. I ended up getting a really great picture of a weird rainbow when the sun peeked through the trees.

Then we headed to the park before going home again.

Every night after dinner, baths, and good night stories, we sit together and meditate for three minutes. Then we do scripture study and prayers together. It's been such a lovely nightly routine for us. We end up having great conversations and everyone goes to bed feeling good.

Play dates with friends are always fun. Eden and Ezra came to play, yes please.

Solace isn't always a helper in the kitchen, but when chocolate-frosting-bowl-licker is an available job, he's ready.

beach day

Upon arrival at the beach we found a hut, already built. We added a few things, and made it our home for the day. Later on, when we got hungry, we cracked open some coconuts. We surfed, and swam and built rock towers. It was a lovely day at the beach.
