Wouldn't it be nice if I tried harder to update this blog?! It's currently January and these are from June. Here are all the best pictures and videos of June 2020. Here is a first look at the kids (and us!) seeing the new house for the first time.
We told very few people we had moved here to Utah, so then we got to go about surprising people. First was the Hunts, I texted Amy to tell her I had shipped her something (me!) from Hawaii, but it went to a different address in her neighborhood. She didn't ask any questions, but went right to the address I gave her, OUR address. She was shocked and surprised and cried. So much fun. Then we all went with her back over to her house to surprise the rest of the family. We love them.
Then they came over to our house and tried out the new trampoline. So fun.
We ate dinner at their house and did lots of playing. It was so nice to be able to catch up and get to know our new neighborhood better.
Andy helped Paul build our new beds. Paul had been wanting a bed like this forever, and though we rarely use the controls to make it elevate on the head or feet, it's nice when we do want it.
Buying all new bedding for everyone was fun, and when I made the bed I felt like a real adult.
I woke up to this note and a missing child. It was unnerving then, since we hadn't been here long, but now I know how safe it was. Matix left to draw a map to the Hunt's house.
Any time I would lay down or sit down for any length of time, this kitten would jump up for a cuddle. Moving was hard on her and Snow Baby, but they both love it here now.

The kids got bikes and had a blast riding around the new neighborhood.
We went on a hike to see a waterfall, Battle Creek Falls, since we were all missing the water. It gets HOT here in the summer, but not hot enough to make most of us get into that icy water.
Buying EVERYTHING new (and used) that you need for a house is crazy! Here we are at Costco with 2 carts full of stuff.... Wow.
Paul and I could NOT get over the prices of food here, we still can't. It is SO cheap to buy food now.
I love the view from my bedroom. The backyard here does not disappoint.
The neighborhood is FULL of kids and even though they were a little nervous to meet new people, as soon as we arrived we had kids knocking on the door, asking to play with them.
We also got a few welcome goodies from the neighbors... I live in a storybook.
The pool table has been a fun addition too, although I think in teenage years it will be used more.
The day we got our washer and dryer was a very happy day!
We slowly started getting furniture, which was so great. This blue-green velvet couch is the best couch I've ever owned.
The cats drink water from our toilets here, which is new for them, little weirdos.

Trying to get a boxspring mattress upstairs for Lullaby turned into quite the ordeal with all the pets helping. Swishy is blocking the way, Snow Baby is right where Matix wants to step, and Whiskey jumped up on top to ride it up.
The theater room was one that we were excited about, but thought it wouldn't be used very much. We were wrong. We love it SO much, and use it all the time.
I got some craigslist furniture things and painted them with chalk paint and now I love them.
Finally, we have stools! They arrived before the table or chairs, so we were happy to have at least one place to sit and eat.
Ethan drove his go-cart to the park one day and gave the kids rides. So fun!
We were invited for dinner with Amy's parents and finally got to see their silo-turned-playroom. It was awesome!
We ate lots of take out and fast food on our front porch.
Lullaby was the first to draw blood and had to get 6 stitches on her foot from a barefoot bike crash. Poor thing. She's still the leader in our family of most stitches, besides Paul.
We wanted to surprise each individual family of our arrival, but Paul couldn't take it anymore. So he mass texted everyone and then we met up at a park. It was so fun to see everyone.
Lullaby got some of Bailee's old clothes and was in HEAVEN. She changed her outfits a million times that week.

I found O & H Danish Bakery kringle at the grocery store here, weird!
Still no table, but we got the tv working, and that was fun!

All the kids had to get actual shoes, it took a long time.
Becca walked her dog Koa up to our house and another dog who looked just like her started following them. So funny. We now know this is Jake, and he loves to sneak INTO our house.
We went to another park (this one isn't in our neighborhood), to play pickle ball and on the playground.
Becca is so sweet to always include Solace and play with him. He loves her so much.

We went to a very small waterpark with the Hunts and the Booths. So fun. The kids loved it.
We got our first piece of mail from my dad, as always! He always gets the first one.
One morning we woke up and it was COLD outside, there was wind and HAIL. They jumped on the trampoline for 10 seconds and called it good.
We got Lullaby's bed frame built and she LOVES it.
Lunch date while we shop for more things we need for the house.

We got plates! So I invited the Hunts over for dinner. The kids still had to eat outside, but it was perfect weather for it. Then a movie, yes please.
We didn't bring much, including clothes, so I took the kids one at a time to get new ones. Lullaby loved it the most.
She does not, however, love building all the furniture I bought from IKEA. Look at her face in the second picture.

I got a bike, hoping to start liking riding a bike, and after many adventures (after this picture), I've decided it's still not my fave.
After a longer quarantine, we went to visit with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Berg. The kids were SO excited to finally be able to see them.
