Just down the street from Grandma and Grandpa Berg's house is a small farm with horses. This horse, in particular, is super friendly. We brought it some carrots and Matix was in love. Hawken liked the horse too, but Matix was all over it. He is really good with animals, it was fun to watch. Lullaby stayed in Grandma's arms the whole time and refused to touch it. We had a glimpse of warm days so we took advantage and the boys got to ride their bikes.

Legos with Grandma
It was so nice to have Grandma Stacy come for a little visit. We did something most days (minus when Hawken was sick) and had lots of fun adventures. Some of our most fun times were just here in the playroom. You could find Grandma Stacy building and sorting Legos at any time of the day...
Caught you in your jammies! :) So funny. I guess you never outgrow Legos.
at the table
Lulli is such a good eater. Anything I put on her plate, she devours. The boys are going through an "I don't like that" phase, and will say that before trying anything... they always end up eating it, and usually loving it, but it always starts with "I don't like that." So, it's nice to have a baby that doesn't complain. The only thing is that she must have a utensil to eat with. Even if she's eating craisins or dry cereal.
After she is done she puts her hands up and shouts "DONE!". Then after getting cleaned up a bit and removing her tray, she has to buckle (and then I un-buckle) the buckles on her seat 50 times at least. She loves those fine motor activities.

haircuts!
Both boys were in need of a haircut recently. Here is Matix before. It was pretty bad. He couldn't see very well and the back was getting girly. :) Poor thing.
Afterward, his hair was really wet, but still better. I have to spray his a bit with water since it has a wave/curl to it. So here is another "after" picture the next day. Much better.
I didn't get a "before" for Hawken, but it was long enough to hang in his eyes too. He only got a trim, because when his is too short, it looks weird. He was VERY excited about having his picture taken after his trim and gave me lots of poses to work with. What a ham!

This last pose with the brush was his idea too. Silly.
Grandma Stacy got her bangs trimmed too, but I didn't get a picture. She looks cute too. :)

cousins
My boys are going to have a hard time when we have to leave these cousins. They have the BEST time together. They are all happy playing the same things too. Memory and making masks were the favorite activities this day...

Scheels x 2 and Chuck E. Cheese
We of course had to take Grandma Stacy to Scheels while she was here. The kids had fun running around showing her all the cool things. She rode on the ferris wheel with the boys while Lullaby and I watched.
In the front of the store there is a huge screen where a hunting dog seemingly interacts with you (it's on a loop and doesn't really interact, it only seems that way). The kids love it and we always end up watching it for looong periods of time before going into the store and before we can leave to get in the car.
The second time we went to Scheels with Grandma Stacy, Grandma Berg and Mason came too. It was a fun day, as usual. This time I rode on the ferris wheel with Mason and Grandma Stacy rode with the boys and Lullaby and Grandma Berg watched from the ground.
There is the funniest little photo booth thing there too where you hold a little plank of wood, and the computer recognizes it and turns it into a fish. Ha ha! This is the funniest thing. On the screen at the store then, it looks like you have caught a large fish. The kids love posing for pictures. Then you can have the image emailed to you. These were our pictures from that day. I love that Matix's fish is eating Mason's fish, so funny.
After Scheels, we went to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch. The kids had fun and got a ton of tickets, thanks to one of the workers who was testing all the machines and hit the jackpot. He said Hawken could have all the tickets from it.
It was a BUSY day and the kids were wiped out for naps after that. Thank goodness, because I was tired too. :)
Yikes! Skunks! Plug your nose! :)

Saying hello to the big moose!
Trying on sunglasses is a must. Always.

treats
Another thing grandmas are good for are all the treats! Or so my kids think. A large plop of chocolate grasshopper pudding made by Grandma Stacy for each boy after a teeny lunch, plus the spatula to lick off. Yum.
