Disney day 2 - California Adventure

Our second day at Disney, we used our park hopper pass and headed to California Adventure. I had not been there, but it was AWESOME! So so glad we went!

When all the big kids and the dad went on California Screamin', Krystal and I took the littlest two to a little kid area. They got their own maps and met Chip! So fun.

We waited in line for this arcade style game/ride, and it was SO fun. Well worth the long wait.

After a while more of Paul's cousins joined us, Morgan and Alyssa and their baby Declan, and also Morgan and Krystal's parents (Paul's aunt and uncle) Stacey and Steve came too. We took up the whole sidewalk when we walked anywhere together. It was fun.

Matix continuing his role as a fabulous big brother...

The Tower of Terror was changed into a ride for the Guardians of The Galaxy, and even the wait time was entertaining. Everyone tried it, including Sully.  He hated it afterward and continued asking in every line if it would be "an up down up down" ride... like this one was.

More fun from day two...

Ride pictures from this day were as good as the first day. So fun! Krystal and I laughed out loud at the first one since I look happy and she looks terrified, since I was the one screaming most of the time and she was laughing at me... How we ever ended up with this picture, I'll never know.

We ended the night just before the park closed with a dance party in the street with one of the Cars movie cars, DJ, and several dancers. And then some Ghiradelli's from the sweet shop there. Yes please!

flights and Disney day 1

In the beginning of December, we surprised the kids with a trip to Disneyland. We woke them up, having secretly packed their bags the night before, and told them where we were going. They were confused, but so excited!

At the airport, we ran into some friends of Paul's cousins in Utah, so we took a picture and texted it to them. So funny!

The kids wore their Disney sweatshirts from last time we went. The flights were long, and we arrived at night in California.

The kids wanted to try out the massive waterpark on the roof of the hotel, and we knew this would be the only day we could do it. So even though it was COLD, they braved it.

We ordered dinner from Chipotle, which was awesome!

The kids slept HARD and didn't wake up with the sun, as usual. So we woke them up and headed to the park for our first day to meet up with Paul's cousins who were coming too.

Everything was decorated for Christmas, and it was so lovely!

On our first day we saw a couple characters, without even trying!

We got the kids all the treats they wanted, including these Mickey beignets.

We wore the camelbacks again, which made for easy water drinks anytime we needed.

We went on tons of rides, and Sully was tall enough to try out almost every ride this time. All the kids were brave and tried lots of scary stuff, Space Moutain, Matterhorn, The Haunted Mansion, you name it!

We did the switch back passes so Krystal and I got to ride on lots of rides just the two of us, which was really fun. I wish they lived closer to us. We always have the best time together, and they kids get along great too.

The rides that take pictures are always so much fun!

This picture of Paul is what began the "Paul dab", he tried to dab for the picture, but couldn't do it in time. So after that a few of us tried to copy his bunny paws in subsequent pictures. So funny!

We stayed until it was night time.  The Haunted Mansion was decorated with The Nightmare Before Christmas movie decorations, and the castle was lit up with all the icicle lights. It was so pretty.
