good byes

Two days before we left, we were surprised to come home from the beach and see three of our favorite families in our yard, with signs, to say good bye. It was very touching. They brought us dinner too, so we didn't have to worry about that. We always make friends wherever we go, but saying goodbye is SO hard. They are the best.

After the friends left, we ate dinner, then I went over to see Katie and say goodbye to her. Goodbyes are really hard on her, and she made cry with all the hugs and cuddles I got that evening. I brought her flowers, and she drew me a picture. So sweet.

Nothing left in the kid room, except mattresses and sheets and a very sleepy Hawken and Snow Baby.

beach days

I spent every second of every day packing, organizing, mailing, and giving away all our things. Then, as soon as Paul was home, we went to the beach. It was nice to spend some time not stressing.  Cliff jumping at Coconut Island, free diving (Paul and his friends only) at Leleiwi, and family beach time at Onekehakeha with friends. Yes please.
