Why Paul loves Matix, reason # 703 because after a long day
of working and working and working and riding his bike the 10 miles back again
he comes home to this little boy who just canNOT get enough of him. Matix loves everything about his
daddy. When he grows up, Matix
says he is going to be a doctor, like daddy, and ride a BIG bike, like daddy,
and have big muscles, like daddy, and make these faces, just like DADDY!

tubby time
Hawken, my tiny, brave, spitfire of a little boy, was afraid of laying down in the bathtub for the loooongest time. He is never afraid of anything, except this, until now. He just figured out how to do it. At first he was nervous...
But then, he LOVED it. Water in his ears and mouth, but he loves it. Now each bath time he has to do his new trick of laying in the tub. Good job big boy. I know you could do it.

Stone Mountain
One of the afternoons we went to Stone Mountain there
happened to be a festival going on. It was put on by one of the radio stations
here and there were tons of games and freebies and a band… So fun. It reminded me of the Rasta Festival we
went to in Miami, only less hippies.
This is such a typical Matix face. Concerned and explaining something very important to me, that I obviously couldn't understand on my own...
The boys were loving all the games. Carnival style games but no prizes.
Perfect for our little cheaters.
Lullaby is not content to just sit still anymore, she has to
watch and tries to participate if possible.
Free balloons, the guy gave us 5, one for each of us… You
know, in case Paul and I needed
our own too.
Dancing to the band. This was much more entertaining in real
life. They were all over the
place. Paul had the camera and thought he was taking a video. Sadly, he was not. This is all he got from the dance fest.
Lullaby being so sweet on us.
Car races before we left.
the lashes
Not the world’s greatest picture, by far, but this does show
Lullaby’s looooong eyelashes. She has the most beautiful big blue eyes and long
dark eyelashes.
Please ignore the orange tinted nostrils, she was having a blast eating and playing with her carrots for lunch...

Brave
We’re big Disney fans in this house, and even bigger Pixar
fans. So when we heard about the
new movie “Brave” coming out we were pretty excited. On our way!
We went the day after it
opened for the first showing of the day.
We were hoping it wouldn’t be sold out and it wasn’t even close, there
were plenty of seats. Hooray!
The boys posed with their swords in front of the movie
poster. It was SUCH a good movie,
including the scary bear that we were warned about. A friend of ours has a brother who works for Pixar and he
warned us about the scary bear. It
was pretty intense but the movie in its entirety was SO good. One of our
favorites so far. Loved it.
box from grandma
A week or so ago,
the kids got a package from GRANDMA! Usually the boys rip into any packages before Lullaby can
get her hands on it, but this day, they were still napping, and miss Lully was
awake. She was actually getting
what to do with the tissue paper, and did a good job getting all the fun stuff
from Grandma Stacy out of the box. You can see a tiny preview of her cute
little 4th of July dress.
More pics to come from yesterday when she actually wore the dress, as soon as I download
those.
Hawken woke up and was SUPER excited about the flags. He
wanted his picture taken with this crazed but happy face. “It’s my SO happy
face!”
Thanks Grandma!! We loved
all our presents! Love Matix, Hawken and Lullaby
