I understand that Christmas just happened, but on the blog I haven't even gotten to Halloween yet! Twas the season for clementine pumpkins. Yes please.

spoiled pup
Sakina now lives in our backyard. We very rarely let her in because she's unable to hold her bladder or her bowels. Poor thing. She gets very embarrassed and sad when she has a potty accident inside. She has a big covered patio, and her own fan, and a yard and even the little shed all to herself, plus these kids love on her as often as they can. They sure love their pup. :)
ukelele
There is NOTHING cuter than this boy playing a ukulele. SO so cute. Early in the morning, still in jammies. I could eat him for breakfast.

movie night
The boys' school had a free movie night/fundraiser. There was some traditional chanting and hula, performed by the school's hula club, which is always amazing.
Lots of music and dancing and games and prizes too. We got there before dark and had a blast. And Lullaby was the only one who wanted face painting. She was a kitty.
As it got dark we ate our food and watched the movie. The kids had a blast and we bought them some light up toys to dance around with afterward. Such a fun night.

new header
I won't even tell you how many times I wrote this out on the sand, hoping to get this particular shot. I wanted the water close, but not washing the words away, and I wanted the words on the smooth sand, and not near the foot prints. I finally got it, and I love it. Our new Hawaii blog header. Yes please!
job hunt
The Flores family was here for 2 months with us, and during that time they couldn't find a job and ended up having to go back to the mainland. They tried, but it just wasn't meant to be. Their adventure was elsewhere. This pic was taken one night after a day full of job interviews.
little momma
Lullaby is one of the most naturally nurturing little girls. She loves her baby dolls and treats them so nicely. I can't wait to see how she parents. I bet she'll be great.

paradise cove
We brought Makenzie and her two littlest girls to the turtle beach. We were not disappointed. It was so much fun and we saw a few turtles too! It is so magical swimming with them, and feeding them seaweed from your hands. We also saw a big monk seal. He was very sleepy on the rocks and we took lots of pictures of him.
I look scared in this picture, but I was actually just crazy excited! I couldn't believe they were following us around. It was so fun.
We were making fun of ourselves in our snorkels. No one looks good with these on, especially the ones that press against your lips. Lovely.
dinner
More pictures of dinner. Pineapples are cheap, and make for a fancy looking serving bowl. :) I love Hawaii.

puppet show
I took the little kids to a puppet show at the library and although there were a million interested kids, and a very entertaining puppeteer, mine wanting nothing to do with it. They hid under the book shelves and read books almost the entire time. Stinkers.

friends
Playing at the pool with friends is just the BEST. These pictures were from "fall break". Yes please. The Dance family has 5 kids, an 8 year old boy, a 7 year old boy, a 5 year old girl and twin (almost) 3 year olds boy and girl. They match our kids almost exactly. So much fun.
Proof we were in the pool long enough... Hawken's hands turn completely wrinkled up only after several hours of swimming, so we know it's okay to leave if he looks like this.
