One of Paul's coworkers asked me to make cookies for her daughters first birthday party in October (hence the pumpkins). She had very specific colors, shapes and looks that she liked and wanted me to do. She bought the cookie cutter shapes for several cookies too, that I got to keep, yes please! I made TONS of cookies. They were super pretty and she loved them, so I was glad I spent so much time doing them. The edible gold was a nightmare to work with, but I'm glad I got to try it out. They sure do look pretty with gold.

playground time
Spending time on the playground is always a blast with my children who are part monkey. So funny.

cookies
A family in our church ward asked that I come and teach them how to decorate cookies. So I went over there, they fed us dinner, and I brought the cookies and taught them how to frost. It was a fun night.

waterfall jumps
The closest waterfall to our house is a great one for jumping. There are more than one spot to jump. First, right at the falls.
The second spot to jump is at the cliff on the near side.
The third spot to jump is at the cliff on the far side.
The last spot to jump is from the trees. But only the crazy dads are allowed to try it from here, since you have to jump through the trees blindly.
my baby
Even though this self proclaimed BIG BOY is 4 years old, he is still such a mommas boy. He loves cuddles and kisses and is very much still the baby. I love him, and his wild nature, and his messy face, and his happy giggles.
beach day
We went to a beach on the north side of the island. I forget it's name. There was a river letting out into the ocean, and there hadn't been any rain in a long time so the water was super clear. On the other side of the large river mouth was a rope swing from a tree into the only deep part.
We brought our paddle boards and so did the Hunts. It was such a lovely day. After a while, we paddled way up the river. I love lazy beach days.
Hawken and Sully played Harry Potter on the beach, casting spells on one another.
Paul, Matix and Andy paddled out of the river, into the ocean and over to the tall sea cliffs.
We played on the beach.
kids need dogs
Since our sweet Kina died in February, we've really been missing her. We miss having a dog. When a stranger came up to us at Costco and asked us to take care of her pup, Taco, while she ran in to grab something, of course we were happy to do it. This sweet pup was covered in kids, and hugs and kisses.
We volunteered to snuggle the dogs at the Humane Society too, which was harder than we imagined. Matix cried because he was so happy to take care of them, and because we couldn't take one home with us. Poor thing.
They do have a great program there though that lets you take a dog out on a field trip for the day. They provide towels for your car, a water and food bowl, food, and treats. The dog we were chosen to take out was called Pika. Such a sweet pup, and so happy to play around with us. We had Pika all day, took him out for lots of walks, fed him his treats and gave him lots of cuddles. It was a little sad bringing him back, but he will make some family very happy some day. We can hardly wait to take out another dog on a field trip again.
Some day, we may even get a new dog. I worry that I won't love the new dog as much as I loved Sakina. She was the best dog ever. But you never know.

beach day
Realia Beach is our go to beach when we have some time to spend in the sun and sea. Sully and Ethan got buried.
Lullaby and Paul boogie boarded stacked up together. They're so silly.
Matix and Hawken LIVE in the water, and can hardly ever be photographed. But my Sully boy loves his picture taken. So there are lots of him.
These two... Love love love.
The three boys in the background are Matix, Hawk, and their friend Jonny. Then Lullaby and one of her besties from our homeschool group, Kalisol are in the foreground. They are SO cute together.
