beach day

We headed to the Moloa'a with everyone, and even Kara had flown in for a couple days. It was SO much fun hanging out with everyone together again. 

The boys went out diving and Paul found some great shells. One still had a creature in it, so sadly, he had to put it back.

Lullaby and Lanna were SO happy to be together again too. They were adorable.

After a while we headed up to Hanalei to continue the beach day. Matix helped Ethan on the surf board, although there were hardly any waves that day.  Sully ran around with Shar, Hawken built sandcastles and even Lullaby went out surfing for a bit.

date night

We went out to eat at Street Burger with the Hunt and Dortch families and Kara. Watching Paul listen to Chris' stories was the most entertaining part of the night. We all laughed at Paul, while he laughed at Chris. So funny.

here and there

Some random pictures... I had the kids at Option's Day draw self-portraits, and was REALLY impressed with the things they did. It's been so fun teaching again, even though it's in such a small capacity. 

Trying out my new sultane tip from Paul, it takes a LOT of work to get it just right...

Then I gave up and made these rosette meringue cookies. Yum!

Like father, like son...

Sometimes I wake up, and try to have a real conversation with different members of my family and I can't get them to stop giggling. Perhaps I should look in the mirror first. Good morning!

Matix drew this picture for Grandma Evie, and wrote this note.  It's written in pencil and I cut off part of it when I took the picture, but basically says he's been thinking about her, and he misses her. It's super sweet.

pool day

Some of the Hunt and Dortch family came over for a quick swim in the pool. I wasn't feeling well, but we all still had loads of fun.

Solace loves Hollie and all her girls. He thinks they are just the best people ever. So sweet.
