The little kids and I only ever get to go to the Chick-Fil-A story time when Matix and Hakwen have an early release day at school, because that means we don't have preschool that day. So we try to take advantage. It was especially nice when it all lined up with a free breakfast day too. So the kids played and listened to their stories, while I watched and ate free breakfast, then they did crafts and ate their free breakfast and ice cream. Fun day at Chick-Fil-A!

Valentine's Day
The preschoolers had a little Valentine's Day party on the Friday before Valentine's Day. The kids loved it! Plus it gave me an excuse to make some fun party food. The cookies were my favorite part. So fun!
We played Pie Face, which was hilarious!
I got a picture of all the kids with their mommies while they were opening the valentines that the kids had made for them. So I had to get one of us too! :)
The preschoolers decorated a banner to go above the party table, and I printed out pictures of the preschoolers making hearts with their hands to add to it.
Then on the REAL Valentine's Day, Paul and the kids made a big breakfast for me. It was so sweet (and delicious!).
The kids got to open up a few cards and gifties from Grandma Kim and Grandma Stacy (thank you both!) and loved the cards and treats!
Paul and I shared some delicious (OVERPRICED!) chocolates. They were SO good!!
Lulli
I'm working (on the side) with the HIPPY program through HISD and Lullaby loves to do the little worksheets and play the games that she gets. She's such a smarty pants and loves all the extra work, even though she already spends a lot of time at preschool. :)

I received my first ever email from Matix. It is, by far, the best email I have ever read. I love this Matix man SO much. He is so sweet.

Kina
Getting Sakina ready for her flight to Hawaii has been like getting a second job. I read (and re-read and re-read) the paperwork and got with our vet to make sure that Sakina would be able to be received in Hawaii without having to stay in the quarantine. Thankfully our vet knows exactly what to do, and he's done it before, so we are in good hands. I'm glad Kina likes running around in the area next to the office because she is going to be spending a lot of time there over the next few months… There is a LOT of stuff to do to prep this pup for her travels!
just for fun
The kids love when we pick up Matix and Hawken and go to the playground with the Flores kids after school. It's a nice way to end a busy day.
Solace all of a sudden looks enormous in these baby swings. Doesn't he?!
family fun
Some of our friends came over for marshmallows. Whenever they come, all we do is chat while all the kids play. They have a girl, Lola, who is the same age as Lullaby, and a boy, Colton, who is the same age as Hawken, and a big boy, Jacob, who Matix is thoroughly entranced by. It's always a good time.

creative
On the days we forget to bring any form of entertainment for the kids during the first hour of church, they entertain themselves pretty well. Matix made a house filled with furniture for his little paper people to walk around in. Thank heavens for creativity!
scissor skills
Sully loves to do what the preschoolers are doing at preschool when it involves scissors. He's moderately obsessed. He cannot control where they cut yet, but he does hold them properly and get a lot of cutting done. This particular day, he also pasted them to a paper. He's a very studious 2 year old.
sick
Lullaby has been sick, on and off for a few days, but when she came downstairs wearing underpants and shorts on her head, I knew she was feeling a lot better. I love this silly girl. :)
day outside
We went out as a family on a day Paul had off of work. We tried out 4 different play grounds and went on a hike and ate a picnic lunch. It was so much fun.
Paul and Matix practiced a few new soccer moves.
On our hike, we found a bench swing in the woods. So fun!
Then back home for naps and some skateboarding and playing in the cul-de-sac.
Then we roasted some marshmallows in the backyard before bath and bed. I seriously love this family of mine.
The bath water has never looked dirtier than it was that night. I could only do 2 kids at a time before I had to switch the water. Yuck! But after spending the entire day outdoors, it makes sense why they were so filthy.
