Early one morning before we started school, the kids were playing outside when they heard lots of little noises coming from the bushes. They had discovered a nest of baby chicks hatching. It was really fun to watch. All but two of the eggs hatched and the mama hen came back to take care of the chicks later on.

I love watching that! They work so hard, and then they have to rest and dry off.
