Our temple is in Kona, and is a 2 hour drive from our house, and because it's such a trek we try to make a whole special day of it. That means we head to Costco and then the beach after we're done in the temple. We usually go twice a month. Once to attend ourselves, and once to babysit so other families can go.
Beautiful Kua Bay with it's clear water and rough waves. We have a love hate relationship with this beach. I lost my sunglasses two waves into this beach trip, the wave knocked them right off my face.
Guess who found them? Hawken, of course, hours later while we was snorkeling!
Some friends joined us and the kids (and Paul) built a sand castle, while the tide was coming in.
