Lullaby turns 8

Lullaby turned 8! Just like that! She opened her gifts and wore a fancy dress, and necklace, and purse, all day long. She loves to be fancy. At 8 years old, Lullaby is a lot of fun. She is a hard worker. She gets her kuleanas (chores) done fast, and with little help from me. She plays with the boys or on her own nicely, most of the time. She and Matix are usually partners, when partners need to be had. She loves to be the only girl, and get all the girly attention, except when she has a friend with a baby sister, then she wants a baby sister too. Her favorite color is pink.  Her favorite movie is Dora and The Lost City of Gold. Her favorite food is spaghetti, and dessert is ice cream. Her favorite hairstyle on herself is in a half ponytail, she calls it half-up half-down. Her favorite song is Let It Go, from Frozen. She loves to ride her bike, and run, and build, and climb trees. She eats slowly. She says the longest prayers. She sneaks treats if I don't let her have one. She loves to do nice things for others.  She is very alert, and watches for cars, and is smart and safe. She knows the rules and sometimes follows them. She loves our pets and treats them well, but sometimes is too lovey on them. She loves her brothers, and is almost always sweet to them. She loves when Paul comes home and waits patently to have a turn to love on him. She is always barefoot, but is good to remember to bring her shoes when we go places that require them. She is responsible for her own things, and takes good care of them. Lullaby is awesome, and I'm so happy she is ours. Happy birthday girlie!
Lullaby chose to go see a movie with Paul for her special thing.  They went to see Dora, and bought treats and popcorn.

Another day, close to her birthday we all went out for ice cream BEFORE dinner with some friends and she was thrilled with that.

Cards came in before, on, and after her birthday so she felt like it never ended. This girl deserves the spotlight sometimes. She is so great.

One of the presents she received from Grandma Kim and Grandpa Louie was this embroidery kit and she loved learning how to do it.  Thanks!

She wanted to bring these very specific cookies to her friends at ballet class to celebrate her birthday. She wanted "a golden dancer with a pink tutu that popped up off the cookie, like a real tutu"... I tried my best, and she loved them.

The little girls, and her dance teacher loved the cookies too, and they sang her happy birthday.

They all got golden lips after eating the cookies, so funny.
Lullaby decided this year, to have an experience, instead of a party.  She wanted to go night time snorkeling with Paul and Grandma Stacy when she came in November. Although I do love a good party, I think it was pretty fun that she got to choose what to do.
