Cali Vibes - February 2022

Paul and I went to Cali Vibes, a three day music festival in California, in February. We only stayed for one of the days and it was SO much fun! The kids stayed with Great Grandma Berg and had a great time.

We saw lots of bands we had never heard of before, and several we already loved. We pushed to the front line to see Kevin Smith, Rise Brothers and Arise Roots. My favorite was Arise Roots because of their energy.

I found Waldo, and Paul found Jesus.

Lots of delicious street food. We found a vendor from the caribbean and had some old familiar foods we ate in Dominica. Yum!

The Movement was another good surprise, but Mike Love was outstanding! We already love him and we were so happy to see his live performance. He's so talented! He's also from Hawaii and so you have to love that too. Soja was the last band on that stage, then we saw Rebelution on the way out. Soja was fun because we knew lots of the words to the songs and could sing along.

After more goodies we bought some merch and headed out. Paul's friend Matt, who lives in California, picked us up and let us stay at his house that night before we flew back to Utah.

Morning breakfast was really tasty! Thanks to the Pobst family for letting us crash there and to Great Grandma Berg for watching the kids.

When we came to pick them up we heard a weeks worth of updates and information about the fun time they had, even though it was one night.

On the way home we got in an accident. A young driver ran a 4-way stop and hit our front passenger wheel. It caused $10,000 of damage, and we were thankful for insurance. No one was hurt.

Then right back to Grandma's house the next day because it was Sunday. Sully said he missed her, even though it was less than 24 hours later.
