We met up over at Grandma Kim and Grandpa Louie's house to start the roadtrip. The kids played while Jolie re-packed her car and we all set out!
The first hotel had a pool and hot tub that we had all to ourselves. So fun. Getting a picture with all 6 kids together was hard though, as Bradley doesn't like to play all the chasing and splashing games that Alexandra and my kids do. That said, there were a couple times when they were all together, so I had to get a picture!
Before bed, Grandma Kim hid eggs in her room, like she did at her house, for the kids to each find one. Yes please. They loved this game!
I the morning Jolie and Alexandra surprised us all with silly string! It was a fun fight right in the parking lot!
Alexandra rode with us for the next stretch of driving, and she fell asleep while we watched a movie.
Then we stopped at the Trading Post in Wyoming (I think) for some weird novelty stuff. It was actually a really fun place to explore.
Last hotel of the trip! We enjoyed the pool and Sully and Paul used the workout room too, and more egg hunts in Grandma's room before heading to Utah, and Jolie and her kids headed to Colorado.
We made it back to Utah and went out to eat for lunch. The kids all challenged Grandma Kim to an arm wrestle. They were all SHOCKED that she beat them!
Back to the house to sort through and put away all of Grandma Evie's things. I can't believe that this ALL fit in my mom's car!
The cats were pleased with the empty boxes.
We went on a little hike down to the hot springs and we had it mostly to ourselves! Yes please! It was great weather for the springs too. Chilly outside, and warm in the springs, then not painfully cold when you get out.
Matix wanted to show Grandma Kim his dirt bike skills too.
After the wedding, Jolie's hand beading on Lullaby's dress was slowly unraveling. The dryer was full each time I used it. Ha haha. It only needed to last for one wearing, so it was perfect for that!
We played lots of games and even tried out a new game, Carcassone, which is now one of our favorites!
Grandma brought crafts for the kids to do too. They made little Easter egg ornaments with clay.
Grandma Kim stayed for just a couple days before she headed up to see her friend in Wyoming, and then over to drop off Grandma Evie's things for Jolie in Colorado. It was a nice visit and we wished we saw more of her here. Jolie had planned with her to write her name on sticky notes and leave them on the things Jolie wanted of mine. So silly. I found this just after she left.
