Thanksgiving Point Fun - May 2022

We got Thanksgiving Point passes with some of our Harmony money for their homeschool experiences. It included memberships to several different places, including the Children's Museum, Butterfly Biosphere, Ashton Gardens, The Farm, and lots more places. Here are pics from a few different days in May exploring all those places. Butterfly Biosphere first. 

Solace was too short to fit well in the wings, so here is what the kids figured out so he could have his picture taken too. A little behind the scenes...

Inside the biosphere, the butterflies are everywhere! You're welcome to let the crawl onto your finger, or wait for them to just land on you.

We were there when one of the workers was releasing newly hatched butterflies, and he listed the names of them as they each flew away. It was really cool to see. 

There are more exhibits back inside the main building of the biosphere, and the kids got to do hands-on learning with different kinds of bugs. 

The Farm is another great spot for us. The kids love feeding the animals and petting them. 

Lullaby and Solace did the pony rides, and loved it.

As soon as all the babies started being born, The Farm invited kids to come and give them name suggestions, plus we got to pet all the baby bunnies. 

The Museum of Natural Curiosity has so much to do for kids of all ages. They usually run and play in the three story climbing structure for a while and then go to the learning area that rotates different concepts or things to learn about. This time it was all about rockets. The kids got to make their own paper airplanes, learned about wind resistance, speed and velocity.
