Solace waited SO long for his birthday party. He was very patient. He wanted a Transformer's party, and making the transformer and deception faces were REALLY hard to do on sugar cookies, so I only made a few of them.
We had his party at Kamalani playground at Lydgate Park. Everything, including the weather was perfect, with the exception of the flies. There were LOTS that day and Paul spent most of his time waving them away from the food.
Sully liked the birthday song, and blew out his candles with a great big smile. His friends spoiled him with lots of fun presents, thank you!
The chickens kept their distance... There are so many at this park.
Sully gave his friends these little Transformer shooters and they ran around having a battle. Just what Solace wanted.
Here we are at the end of the day with our birthday boy. At 4 years old, Solace is SUCH a handful. He takes his time doing everything. He is happy and loud and silly. He has serious opinions and cares deeply about things being fair. He loves his friends, and prays for others more than for himself. He still refers to himself as me, instead of I, in all situations, "Me do it." "Me don't know." "Me so sleepy." He has a messy face and crazy hair all the time, except for the first minute right after a bath. He laughs at his own jokes. He repeats things ad nauseam. He gets frustrated easily when people don't understand him, and still struggles with articulation of words. He has never ending energy buy loves to sit and snuggle. He's such a sweet thing and we're so happy he's is ours. Happy birthday Sully boy!
