We were invited to a bar-BEE-que at our friends house. They are bee keepers and build their own hives. The kids spent the first part of the party in the pool.
Then we suited up and headed to the hives. Erin is a masterful bee keeper and showed us all the bees, found the queen, and explained to us how everything works. It was really cool. Now we want bees too.
Paul and Erik were busy building a new hive.
After harvesting some of the honey comb, Erin let the kids squeeze it and harvest the honey. It was really messy, but fun!
Sully and Theo had a good time playing too. Lego and dinosaurs were it this time.
