staycation

We went with the Harmers to a fun staycation just before school started for the kids. We went up to Park City and rented a house and had the best time. The Harmers are so much fun. They have three girls and one boy, and everyone has a buddy or two. The hot tub and the neighborhood pool were the first things to do. 

After we got the kids to bed that night, we played games, watched a scary movie and took a dip in the hot tub, just us adults. 

Paul had to work the next morning, and Jace kept him company. Then to an outdoor skatepark with the kids.

Matix caught a couple snakes, much to the delight of all the other kids.

Solace celebrated his actual birthday DAY in Park City at the resort, and we went to eat dippin' dots and ride the rollercoaster there. So fun.

We were all a little worried about how these little carts worked, since mostly everyone had to be alone in their own cart. You controlled the brakes, and the rest was pulled by gravity down the ski slope. It was FAST. Sully rode with Paul.

More ice cream after dinner back at the rental house. Spoiled boy. :)

Our last day was spent at Woodward, an indoor skatepark, trampoline park, and skills tracks. The kids had a blast. Even the dads had fun trying out new tricks on the skills tracks, but then Jace hurt his ankle, thankfully not broken, but he had to be wrapped up and wheeled out. What a way to end the trip!
