Matix and Mommy date

The "dates" we go on with the kids aren't fancy, but they are special. Paul had a week of vacation and during that time we dropped off my car to get some work done (more on that in another post). Since we only had his car to work with, we took turns picking up Matix from school, since we couldn't fit everyone into his car at the same time. One of the afternoons that I picked him up, we stopped at the grocery store and got a few treats, and thus, it became a date. 

Matix loved that he could make his own order at the bakery counter and chose a strawberry cupcake for me. So sweet.  It was a very simple date, in the car in the grocery store parking lot, but it made us both so happy. We talked about his best friends at school, and his favorite subjects, and I fell in love with this sweet little boy of mine all over again.
