The "king tides" hit south Oahu (our neighborhood beach) and the waves were crashing up all the way to the grass, and into some yards. Besides washing up some pretty neat shells, several seals needed a break and washed up for a rest. We love to see them.
The kids played in the sand and tumbled around in the waves for a while, and then they went straight into a bubble bath. Getting the tiny grains of sand out of their hair is not the easiest job... If you look closely at Solace's face, you can still see some sand.

That fine sand does stick, especially in your hair.
