Lullaby Lu is 9 months old today. She is the sweetest best baby in the world. I couldn't possibly love her any more than I already do. She is perfect. She started her own little version of crawling about a week ago. She goes about four or five "steps" on hands and knees toward what she wants and then she sits up, reaches and crawls a few steps again. It's so funny that she hasn't figured out that she could go all 10 steps at one time... Oh well. She loves to eat, but we can tell she would rather be eating our food, instead of baby food. She will have her 9 month check next month, so I will post her stats then, but I wouldn't be surprised if she is still topping the charts. Lullaby is very expressive and I cannot help but take hundreds of pictures of her in one sitting. These were from the old camera, so they aren't as sharp as I would like them to be - bummer, but still adorable.
We love you so much little girl! You are the princess of our family and we are so grateful to have had you join us. I really can't believe she is 3/4 of the way to a year!!!! How does this happen?

Sweet Matix
I love that Matix came to me and asked specifically for this picture. "Mommy, I'm going to kiss you and you make a silly face and then you take a picture." Okay Matix.
I love this sweet and always silly boy.

sleeping babes
Why is it that I love them more when they are sleeping...? There is something so sweet about a person when they sleep. Maybe it's because you can focus on all the details when they aren't moving around so much, like Matix's soft and still chubby cheeks, and Lullaby's pouty lips, and Hawken's loooong eye lashes.
Right now it's 10:10am, and all my babies are sleeping again. I put them down for an early nap so this afternoon we can go play (longer) at Stone Mountain with some friends. Thankfully I have three fairly good nappers so I can do things like this. :)

shopping cart
Lullaby is finally big enough to handle riding in the front
of a shopping cart! It took her longer than I thought to be ready for this. She
was very tippy, but for the last month or so has been loving riding in the
cart!
She is so cute and smiles and coos at other people as we
pass them. She also grabs at me and snuggles into my arm or any other part of
me she can pull close to her. She is so sweet.

daddy's girl
I caught this cute little daddy-daughter moment
from the kitchen window. Paul and
Lullaby sitting in the grass together, Lullaby’s hand resting on Paul’s knee.
SOooooo Sweet. They really have something special with each other, and I am so
thankful for that.
Home Depot and the fortress addition!
Last month we were on our way to Home Depot for
the “Kids Workshop” when Paul and I spotted something on the side of the road.
It was large trash pick-up that day and someone was THROWING AWAY 2 huge playground
slides. We stopped and asked the
guy (who was in his driveway) if those were really meant for the trash and if
we could take them. He said he ordered a playset from Costco and they
accidentally sent him three slides. He had kept them in his garage for about a
year and was finally clearing it out.
He said we were welcome to take them, so of course, we DID. We always keep tie downs in the car,
just in case we need them, so we strapped the slides on top and went to Home
Depot. Home Depot was fun as
usual. They built little trays for flowers, but we use them for other
things. Lullaby dressed in orange
for the occasion.
When we got home, Paul went straight to work. He
tore down the ladder from the front of the fortress, added it to the side,
knocked out some bars so the boys could crawl through again, cut a few pieces
of wood to made the new slides stronger, and added them! We decided having both slides on one side would be the most fun, now the boys can RACE!
Helpful Hawken...
The boys are IN LOVEEEEEE with their new slides.
We are pretty much done with the fortress now… Well, unless we find more free
slides… :) It is pretty amazing though huh? Good job Paul!!
And here it is in all it's glory... The latest addition of the fortress!
Lullaby is happy just watching all the action
from her favorite spot in the grass.
toy park
Thanks to our friend Lindsay, we found a new
park! This park is very unique in that it is filled with TOYS! All kinds;
bikes, basket ball hoops, baby toys, play houses, trucks, cars, slides, doll
houses, bubble lawn mowers (minus the bubbles), really, the list goes on and on
and on. It is FILLED with toys.
The kids couldn’t get enough of it. The church
across the street owns it and must collect the toys from donations…? I don’t
know how they got there really, and I don’t know what keeps people from
stealing anything, but I am very grateful. It is so much fun!
These pictures were from a couple different days.
One day Paul got off early and wanted to see this amazing toy park for himself.
He thought it was cool too. :)
And who can help but ooh and ahh over a sweet sleeping baby. Love her!

Hawken is 2 and 1/2!!!!
Today our little Hawkitos turns 2 and ½!!!!
It seems weird to write this post because I can’t really
remember Hawken ever not being here and a part of our family. He has such a
HUGE personality. I want to
remember every little thing about him right at this moment.
Some things about Hawkers:
He likes:
He likes:
-to run
-to jump (off of things, into things, and in any other way
you can jump)
-to squish bugs
-to catch bugs
-to tell you all about his crazy dreams
-to talk and talk and talk and talk
-to explore
-to climb
-to hide
-to chase
-milk mustaches
-Little Red Riding Hood
-to tease Matix
-to hoard his cars
-to find the perfect stick
-the color green
-to be feisty
-going shopping
-breakfast, and second breakfast, and third breakfast
-to be busy!
-pee outside
He loves:
-his family
-his Nigel Gearsley car and Emily train
-giving Lullaby kisses
-copying Matix
-saying “Mommy? Mommy?” every two seconds, even if only to
get my attention
-being the first one to hug Paul when he gets home
-fruit and marshmallows
He does not like:
-to be told “no”
-to skip bath time
-Paul singing
-time out
-when Matix sleeps longer than him
-when bees look at him, and he especially does not like if
they fly near him
We are just so in love with our little man. He is such a fun
kid. Happy half birthday baby boy!

Jenny Jumper
Lullaby tried out her Jenny Jump-Up but couldn't really connect on the up and down motion but was a champion of the twirl thanks to her momma given dancing skills, she gets her rhythm from her father, unfortunately :).
Hawken has been taking notice of his mothers paparazzi like camera skills and began to snap photos with his cutting edge Disney Cars camera WITH flash, thank you very much :)
Jessie thought it was super cute and snapped off a few photos. Soooo now Jenny Jump is Tina Twirler and Hawken is the next up and coming Ansel Adams. Posting by the hubby.
