Halloween 2021

The kids loved planning their costumes this year, and this was Lullaby's completed look. Her wig though was SO hot and heavy, she decided to not wear it. So we braided in a few strands of the red yarn, and called it good. She was Sally.

Sully wanted his face painted too, in case his mask got itchy. He wore it only half the night. He was Barrel.

Matix was Oggie Boogie, but that costume only lasted a few houses.  It was slowing him down too much, so he switched to his rake costume.

Hawken was Jack. He wore his backpack like Matix so that they could dump their bag full into it and keep on running.

Paul was Lock, and I was Shock, so we made up Lock, Shock, and Barrel, "Boogie's Boys". It was so fun.

Lullaby wanted to walk the neighborhood with her girl gang of friends, so we dropped her off and got her at the end of the night.

We got one of Solace's friends, and one of Hawk's friends, and ran the streets.

I picked up Lullaby at her friends house at the end, and went back to our house to sort candy and eat until we got sick.

The makeup was more waterproof than we thought it would be and it took some convincing to get off.

The next morning Sully found a Superman candy, which always makes us think of my dad.

We trick-or-treated on Saturday, since Halloween fell on a Sunday. Sunday was Amy's birthday, so Hannah asked if I could help make dinner.  It was a snack dinner and dessert, and Amy loved it.
