Lullaby is 1 and 1/2!!!

Lullaby is 1 and 1/2 today. We have felt so lucky for the last wonderful 18 months of our sweet baby girl. She is the cutest little thing and we love her. She has come a long way and we are so proud of all the things she can do now.

  • Lullaby has a billion nicknames and will answer to all of them; Lulli, Lulla, Lullers, Lulli-boo, Lullaby Lou, Sweets, Chunkers, Chunks...
  • When Paul gets home from work she RUNS to him shouting "DA! DA!" sometimes he gets a "Da-eee!" more like daddy, but usually just "Da".
  • She loves to wrestle with her brothers, but only on her terms, if they catch her off guard she will scream bloody murder until an adult rescues her.
  • Lulli is in love with dressing up. She will find any excuse to try on something new. Sunglasses, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and other accessories are her favorites.
  • Lullaby's paci broke yesterday (well, I broke it) and she slept well without it at nap and bedtime, although she wanted to hold what was left of it for some comfort. Up until then though, she slept with it and sucked on it at all hours of the day.
  • Lullaby loves her yellow baby blanket that my grandma Evie made for her.  She must have it in her bed to sleep, along with her purple bear and a few baby dolls.
  • She still nurses, but has cut back quite a bit since we have been here and only does twice a day now. She also drinks some cow's milk now too.
  • Her hair is curly in the back, but hasn't come in much on top.
  • She loves to eat! She isn't picky, but she does require a fork and/or spoon to eat her food.  She also insists on doing everything herself. She is usually a mess by the end.
  • Lulli is still a bit particular about the people she likes. Other than the other 4 of us in our family, she loves great-grandma Berg, Baylee, and Taylee.  She likes to tease great-grandpa Berg, but when he picks her up, she is finished with the game.  She half way likes a lot of other people, but it depends on the day and her mood.
  • She has been going to Nursery for a few months and loving it (mostly), but today is her official first day.
  • In 18 months she has lived in three different states and has visited five others (not including the states we drove through to get there).
  • She is learning animal sounds for a few animals and loves to practice very dramatically. "Moo", "cack" (quack), and "baa" are her favorites and the only ones really close to the actual sound. She also tries "oink" but it comes out different each time.
  • She loves reading books, and will look at them all day long, but she will not let anyone page slowly through the pages to actually read the words. She wants to do it herself.
  • She is a momma's girl and will even get upset if I leave a room without her.  I get lots of hugs and kisses just because, and I love that.
  • She wants to do everything her brothers are doing all the time.  She even sits and plays Legos with them. Putting little hats on the Lego guys is her favorite.
  • She loves bath time, but not alone, she likes company in the tub with her.
  • When she is finished eating she puts her arms up in the air (or on her head) and shouts, "DONE!"
  • Lulli likes to wear skirts and dresses instead of pants. She twirls them around and sways side to side to show them off when we first dress her.
  • She knows how to blow her nose and likes to do it whenever she gets her hands on a tissue.
  • She has a few words, probably 50, but not as many as Hawken had at this age by far. It's easy to understand what she wants though because she will point and shake and nod her head.  We're thinking her words will increase with the absence of her paci.
  • She is very affectionate with the people (and dog) that she loves. She gives TONS of kisses and hugs all day long.
Lullaby really is the sweetest thing. We love her so much and can hardly wait to see what she does in another six months. Happy year and a half baby!
