We love when the canoe race is set for Hanalei Bay, one of our favorite places to be. Before the race, all the kids and other racers are in the water, warming up and having fun.
At the end of each successful race, the other groups from our team make a tunnel to show support for the winning team. It's so nice!
After the race was over, we headed to the pier to play. That little spot out there near the boats is Matix paddling on his board over to the pier.
On our way back to get our stuff from the beach and head home, Paul was able to help a young teenager who had jumped head first too shallow. It was scary, but he knew just what to do. The boy was brought by ambulance to the hospital and we're pretty sure he's okay, thanks to fast action by Paul and several good samaritans.

So fortunate Paul was there.
