The night before our flights was the night of the big show! Summer Stars was such a great program for Matix and Lullaby. They really learned a lot and had fun. There were signs all around town for the show, so we had to get a picture with two of the stars!
Paul had his last day of work at Ho-Ola. His co-workers were the best, and we all miss them, but especially Paul.
No food or plates in the house meant we ate out a lot that last week, which the kids didn't mind at all.
With the only place to sit in the house being a small foam mat, that's where everyone congregated.
Finally, the night of the show! Matix and Lullaby went backstage to get ready.
Out in the lobby, we looked at pictures of the "stars" and read about some of the things they had learned that summer.
The show itself was more than 2 hours long. Both the kids did songs, skits, and dances. It was so much fun to see their confidence on stage.
Here are some clips of the night. They did great! Getting a couple hours down to under 4 minutes was hard, and there were lots of great moments not included, but these are the kids favorite parts.
Then afterward, they came out and got leis and flowers and prizes from their teachers and friends.
One big group shot of us with Talia and her family. They got the kids gifts for the plane ride in the morning. So sweet. It was a late night, but such a nice finale for our time spent in Kauai.
