Lullaby is 2!

Lullaby is 2 years old today. TWO. When she holds up her fingers she does one from each hand, instead of two on the same hand.

Lulli is her own person. She has an opinion about everything and HATES being told what to do, even if it was her idea first. She is smart and feisty and knows what she wants.  She is beautiful. Long blond curls, chubby cheeks and big blue eyes. Lulli is tough and can hang with the boys, she has just as many bruises on her knees and scrapes on her feet from running around barefoot. She loves getting dressed up and picking out her outfits each morning (and sometimes afternoon and night also).  She can get shorts, skirts and pants on all by herself. She can get some of her shoes on too, but not tops.  She accessorizes everything, necklaces, hats, purses, hair bows, etc.

Lullaby has the most expressive face, with her pouty lips.  She requests specific songs to be sung to her at bed time and gets frustrated when we don't know the nursery songs she asks for. She swings on her belly mostly, but likes to be pushed sitting on the swing too. She picks at her scabs and never lets anything heal.

Lulli is obsessed with Elmo and wants to watch only the Sesame Street clips that he is in. She calls her brothers "Mattie, Hawky and Solit".  She will eat anything we give her, and usually just as much as the boys eat. She loves to drink milk, and would go through a gallon a day if we let her. Lulli dances all the time, but only if it's her idea, when asked to dance she always says, "no way!".

Lullaby has tons of nicknames, Lulli, Lullers, Lullaby Lou, Lulli Baloo, Sweets, Chunkers... There may be more.  She has her two year molars, and has had them for 6 months, but doesn't have the two teeth on either side of her top two front teeth.  Her feet are almost as big as Hawken's. She wrestles with her big brothers and wants to snuggle with her little brother all the time.  She runs to Daddy the second he comes home.

Lulli torments Sakina and chases her around.  She is in love with babies, real ones and dolls.  She is very concerned when Solace cries and tells everyone, "Solit cry. Solit sad. Solit want paci." over and over until we help Solace. She is talking up a storm and can mimic anything you say.  She enunciates her words and puts long pauses between words like "stink... (Pause pause pause)...bug" to make sure the 'K' in stink in heard clearly.

She walked around yesterday (her party day) and today telling everyone "Happy bird-day wuw-bye!" and wanting us to repeat it back to her.  She cried when we sang Happy Birthday to her at her party.  She loves her yellow blankie and sleeps with it and her many baby dolls every night.  Every morning and after every nap, she tells each person she sees individually, "Good morning!" in the sweetest little voice.

She thinks bandaids cure everything, even hurt feelings. She can jump, but not gracefully. She runs and walks backward to show off. She makes crazy faces all the time and loves getting her picture taken.

Lullaby is the sweetest thing and we are so in love with her. She has such a HUGE personality, and I am happy to continue to watch her grow. She makes the perfect princess. We love you Lulli! Happy 2nd birthday!
