last day!

Another pool at the resort was my favorite, I think. There were big slides for the big kids (and brave little kids) and baby stuff for the wee babes. It was perfect.  Lullaby was determined to climb up on this beaver.

Matix tried planking… Silly.

Bradley was in LOVE with this slide. The picture doesn’t do the slide justice, it was huge. Bradley went down so many times that he could hardly get himself to the edge of the pool after he dropped off the slide, he was so tired.

Lullaby took a little nap while we stuck our feet in the hot tub. It was dreamy.

Alexandra and Hawken were the only kids this year to brave the LARGE waterslide. Matix tried it last year, but was too scared to try it this year. Hawken got all the way to the top with me, and asked to go back down. I convinced him to try it, but at the bottom he said, “I think I won’t go on that again. It’s too fast.” Alexandra was fearless though and went down several times, with Jolie, and then with me.

More pics from the day. Random.

Jolie got the kids lollipops and they were in heaven. It was a good end to a good trip.

All the kids crashed out on the drive back to Racine. They looked so cute in the back snuggled up with their moose. :)

We left back for Atlanta early the next morning and the boys were pretty sad to leave grandma. Matix even convinced her to carry him through the airport.

The flight went as smoothly as the first one and the kids were very well behaved. There was a baby a few rows up from us who was crying and that mother looked so anxious. I was grateful that mine decided to behave. :)  Paul was late picking us up, and pushing our checked luggage, and a stroller, and holding a baby (who was rejecting the idea of being in the stroller), and a diaper bag was… challenging.  I only had to move it a few hundred feet from the baggage claim, out the door, and to a bench to wait to get picked up. But, I did it. The kids were SUPER excited to see their daddy. Lullaby was too, but she was more excited to take a nap.

Sounds like a fun, fun vacation and a great place to have it. Glad you enjoyed it and the kids were good!

You should describe how you moved from baggage claim to the bench outside! Didn't Matix wheel one of the suitcases and Hawken did the stroller? Amazing! Very savvy travellers!
