Matix is 4!!!!

Matix is 4 today. FOUR! There are so many things about Matix at this age that I love. He is such a great big brother to Hawken and Lullaby. He always is concerned about them and takes great care of them.  Matix is helpful, as in actually helpful. He can bring in groceries with me, and check the mail, and clean up his toys, and clear the table after a meal. He loves being outside, especially riding his bike.

Matix is very creative and comes up with very unique ways of doing everything. He loves learning and will try out new things until he can do it just right. He loves the movie “9” and has figured out how to draw the number on his hand, all on his own.  His face is always dirty. Always.

Matix prefers to be naked all day long. We have to convince him everyday to please put on some clothes. It's a daily battle.  He loves wildlife of all kinds. Bug included. He has no fear of anything like that. He will hold snakes, worms, and caterpillars… name them… carry them around all day, and then set them free. He is very gentle and careful with them.

Matix is emotional, and very empathetic. He is a good friend.  Matix loves to be silly, and to make other people happy. Making silly faces and saying quirky things is his specialty.  After he tells a joke, or gets someone to laugh, he will laugh even louder, and then repeats it. He loves to be the life of the party.

Matix has wavy and sometimes curly blond hair. His eyes are still big and bright, and sometimes have a bit of green in them depending on what he is wearing.  He bites his finger nails.  He sings made-up songs. He hates wearing jeans.  He loves his new rain boots, and wears them even when there is no rain or puddles anywhere.  He says he doesn't like any dinner I make, until he takes a bite, then he proclaims, "Mmmmmmm, I love it!" Matix makes everyone around him happy. He has his attitudes and bad days too, but more often than not, he is the best dewds that ever was the dewds (Paul added that line).  Matix man, we love you BIG, you’re our sweet boy.  Happy birthday!
