Lullaby is 1!!!!!!!!!

Today, Lullaby, the BABY of the family, our princess, turned ONE!!!! Lullaby continues to be the world’s best baby. She makes us so happy and we love her to pieces!  9-10-11 Lullaby York Berg came into this world very peacefully.  She didn't cry much at all and we instantly fell in love.

Now she is a precious 1 year old. This year has flown by. Lullaby is still a delight.
This morning she opened her gifts and was completely spoiled.  She loved it.  We had a tiny party for her, which I will post about later and she LOVED playing with her cake, although she didn’t eat much at all.  Here are a few things about Lullaby at 1 year old…

She can…
  • Crawl, really fast, especially if there is an open door or staircase nearby.
  • Say “mama”, “mine” – this one is still emerging, but she uses it accurately when she says it at all, “ball”, “up” – still breathy, “book”, “dog”, and she babbles “dada”.
  • Nods her head yes, but hasn’t figured out how to shake her head no (yet).
  • Dance, bouncy like Matix did as a baby.
  • Play very nicely alongside the boys.
  • Look at books and turn the pages ever so carefully.
  • Sleep through the night (when she isn’t teething) about 13 hours at night, but only 2-ish hours during the day.
  • Get to where she wants you to go when your carrying her by pointing precisely in the direction she wants.
  • Get the boys to give up any of their toys, but first pointing at it (claiming the toy for herself) and then screaming if she doesn’t get her way…

 She likes…

  • Books, and any other special time she gets with an adult.
  • Her mommy. She is a momma’s girl through and through.
  • Her brothers. She is very fussy when she wakes up before they do from naps, and is instantly pleased when she sees them.
  • Snuggles. She gives them out and we gladly take them.
  • Walking people around. She won’t take more than 1 step alone, but if she has your finger, she will drag you all over the place.
  • Eating. Pretty much anything you will let her have, with the exception of birthday cake, apparently.  She has 4 teeth now, which makes it easier.
  • To be outside. She is very much like the boys in this way, and would rather be outside than anywhere else.
  • Her paci and blankets. She is very specific about the blankets she will sleep with.
  • Her baby dolls. She likes pretty much any doll, but her tiny one is her favorite.
  • To get her way. She is the princess and she knows it. She works all of us.

She does NOT like…

  • To be told “no”. She cries immediately when someone tells her no.
  • To skip her nap or stay up late. She does alright, but needs extra snuggles to make it.
  • Doors closing in front of her. She is so bummed when that  happens.
  • Getting her diaper changed… She likes to be moving.
  • Getting put down, she would rather be held.
Lullaby, we have loved every minute of you. You are a dream baby. You are so sweet and wonderful and we love you SO much.  Happy Birthday!
