cave, tortoises, and beach

After trying to get to our secret beach, and not being able to since the floods, we took Liesl back to Gillans, but first we hiked to Makauwahi Cave, and got there just before they locked that little door shut.

Then we walked over to see the tortoises. Liesl loved them.

Tree climbing, as always.

Then down to the beach for a picnic dinner and root beer. Yum!

The hike back to the car was long, but so beautiful.
