beads and chalk

One of our biggest problems each day was figuring out what to do from wake up time until the pools opened (between 9 and 10, depending on the pool)… My mom came prepared for this though.  She brought pony beads and elastic string for the kids to make necklaces.

Hawken made himself a bracelet.

Matix made a necklace for his moose.

Bradley didn’t make a necklace. He played in the rocks and slid up and down the hill. Silly.

We met a little boy who was fishing in the lake. Hawken was mesmerized and mimicked him by using a stick. I can’t wait until we can teach him how to fish. I think he will love it.

Chalk was another lifesaver. Thank heavens we had a huge patio to color on.

Love Matix's and Hawken's smiles on the beading pictures! That was kind of iffy!
