Houston Rodeo

The rodeo was pretty fun, although now we know that we should buy tickets in advance so we can see the actual rodeo part. We just did the carnival games, the carnival food, the petting zoo and a few little exhibits. The kids picked to go on the slide for their ride (we only let them each pick one ride). Hawken and Lullaby needed a parent to go with them because they were too short.

They planted sunflower seeds and learned about bees and bugs.

We watched baby chickens hatch and got to see a newborn baby calf (umbilical cord still hanging).

The wallabies were the highlight of the petting zoo, Lullaby was terrified of the whole thing. Deer kept nibbling on her dress.

Fun rodeo, plus Paul came, plus we got to ride the train there, plus the boys dressed in cowboy getup, too fun.

Looks like fun! Dan's never been to a rodeo so it's a goal of mine to get him to one after graduation.

These pics are so cute. Your children are going to have such an amazingly full childhood to reflect on in the future. Good job Jessie!
